I heard Mom this afternoon talking to my Vet office, heard my name and her saying yes to no food, only water and I will be there in the morning for surgery by 8:30....the snip snip surgery for boy kitties...

Mom said I have to have this done because she doesn't want me to spray in the house because I smell a girl kitty or to get out run off find that girl kitty and make baby kitties...so guess I don't have a choice, time for the surgery. Please boys help me!!!!!

I don't think I am going to like being left at the Vet office most of the day and Mom doesn't want to leave me either but it has to be done.

Good thing about my Vet is they use human grade anesthetic called Sevoflurane which will help me wake up faster, it is safer too, only thing is my surgery will cost Mom more but to her it is worth it..luckily I have insurance that has wellness it helps in the cost of my surgery. Mom is going to worry about me all day!

Mom says I will have to spend time in my cage while everyone eats in the morning, What no food for me not fair! I sure hope they will have cage service at the vet so I can get a little food, if not boy will Mom hear from me...and I just might tell everyone she is starving me.

Well my friends I will be eating a lot of food tonight, Mom says she will make sure I get more food just before she goes to bed...I sure hope I sleep tonight I think I am going to have catmares!

Wish me luck & purr for me, we will let you know how I am doing after I get home but first Mom has to feed me.

I went thru that too, it's a rite of passage for us boy cats and for the girls too. The hardest thing is no food. I know you're mom will be worried about you all day long. We're sending purrs your way.

buddy - it really is not so bad. I got lots of foods when I got home, and got to sleep on the couch downstairs on a soft blankie all afternoon. Mine are almost all "dried up" and I also got some kind of anti-inflammatory to take for 2 days after. It's part of growing up! Now we can be big boy kitties! I went through it too and it'll be over before you know it. We'll purr so that you'll come through with flying colors but we know you will. Hugs little guy!

Oh sweet lil Kody! Yesh we all went through dat, efen Mallee 'n her did not efen has to take mush pain meds, but seems it's harder on gurlies. Us guys r tough 'n U'll make it through, so don't worry. Yeah, our mommy's always worry 'bout us when we r gone. But purrlease don't haz catmares, it's not too bad. Purrin' fur U dood, 'n glad da anesthetic iz a good one!~ Purrs 'n lotza more purrs fur U~! U shur be'z a big boy now!~

Thanks my friends, that is what Mom keeps telling me, I will be a big boy then....and it is better for me. yeah the food is the problem and knowing Mom will be worrying about me.

yes the anesthetic is a good one and it makes Mom feel better....Xena had that anesthetic too and she was fine when she had her lump removed.

Well I need to go and get Mom to feed me talk later! Thank you for your purrs...think Mom needs them too...

We both had that at the same time, so we got to commiserate together, MOL!
Then we were over it furry quickly!
We were naughty boys and had to be told not to run and jump and play...excuse us??

We will be purring for a good surgery and a fast recovery...yup moms sure do worry a lot more than we do, MOL!!

But that surgery means that you are now a young mancat. It really isn't bad at all. You aren't out for long, a couple of snips and you are done. The worst is knowing that they others are eating breakfast and you can't have any. Mom will worry about you all day, but you are cute and I know the vet techs and the docs will fuss over you and before you know it, you will be back home with Mom. Take it easy and let her take care of you when you get back home. Keep us posted. Purrs, Skylar and family
