Kody's Mom here, as all of you know things are crazy here as we are getting closer to our move to Arizona 4/29.

We are packing everyday, running around trying to get things done before we leave San Diego. There are boxes every where!

Tuesday evening I let Kody out on his leash, I was watching him and noticed he was peeing outside, he didn't move for longer than normal, I looked where he peed and there wasn't much there. Yesterday morning he came into the bathroom and peed on the bath mat & then into the family room and peed on the carpet...well he tried about a fifty cent spot on the mat & carpet.

I knew he was blocked like he was in October, so I immediately called his Vet and I took him in. His bladder was larger than normal, he was trying to pee in his carrier and on the table.

So I had to leave my sweet boy at the vet, again they had to knock him out, because he ate earlier in the morning once he was under he started throwing up. They are worried he may get sick from swallowing his own throw up. So far he hasn't gotten sick, he has a catheter in, a cone and getting fluids. They will remove the catheter tomorrow morning if he pees on his own he will get to come home...

Kody will be on medication just in case he does get sick, pain medication and I will have to give him sub Q fluids once a day until after we get settled in Arizona.

I feel so bad that he got so stressed with us packing that he is having to go through this, his Vet said some cats keep things inside like being stressed and it affects them like him getting blocked and can't pee...we will have to watch him for some time and hope for the best.

Just what we needed with all that is going on and once again we are getting ready to drive over to our new home on Sunday, we are taking my husbands car filled with animal things and some things of ours too, leave his car there and drive home in our new Escape...kitties will be traveling in style with all the works...not bad I say!!

Well we just wanted to let you all know, sad we can't be here but just too much to do and time is running out...hope to get back on before we leave.

Everyone else is doing well, even Xena, she had blood work done on Monday her thyroid is in normal range, kidney numbers went up just a small amount, so will take her back in one more time before we leave.

Sending our love to you all!

So sorry Kody isn't feeling the best again. Better now than DURING the move I suppose--but not much comfort. Purring that he'll be feeling all better right away. Purring the move goes smoothly!

Oh poor Kody. Purring that he gets to come home tomorrow. Have you heard of Bach's Rescue Remedy fur pets? It might be good to try fur the long drive to Arizona. I've heard it really works.

Our Kahless sometimes has problems like that, when he gets stressed. He has a calming collar that helps him. Now it doesn't replace the vet, but it does help with his peep problem. You may wants to give one a try. We get um from PetSmart or Petco.
Hopes you feels better soon Kody.

Oh Kody I feel so bad. Stress sure can cause this, but tell your Momma it is not her fault. Sometimes things must be done, and it is hard to keep us from feeling stressed. Momma uses a calming collar for me too, and I have used the Bach Remedy along with calming treats from Pet Naturals. Maybe the vet can give you a little something to help relax you too. Pretty soon, you will be able to chill out in your new digs, and things will be ok. I hope you feel better - blockages are NOT fun. Momma is always watching me pee, and trying to keep track & feel my bladder. You might also ask the vet if he thinks cosequin might help too. Feel better my friend.
