I thought long and hard about keeping Edward when I took him in as a stray kittie. I asked all the neighbours if they knew where he had come from and contacted all the vets in our area, but no-one knew anything about him. I know that, although un-neutered, he had been loved as he was so friendly and trusting of people.
I was still grieving badly for Alfie and all the kitties (6 in all) I'd lost over the past 2 years to age-related illnesses and decided not to adopt any more and devote my time to my remaining 7 much-loved kitties - 4 who are elderly and 3 only young.
I am so pleased now I decided to adopt Edward - he's such a sweetheart, gets on well with all the other kitties and makes me laugh with his funny antics all the time. He gets in every cupboard and drawer I open, clears everything off the surfaces with his huge paws, runs round with toys in his mouth and drops them at my feet to play with and he's so cuddly and loveable. He sleeps in the easy chair where Alfie sleeps - no kittie went into that chair after Alfie died, but it's kind of comforting and feels as if Alfie sent him to me and approves of him. I just know they would have loved each other.
There have been so many new angels lately, including sweet Ethan yesterday and I'm keeping them all in my thoughts and prayers and know the heartache their loving families are going through.
I don't have much computer time these days as my mother has dementia and needs a lot of attention and the rest of the time I like to spend with my kitties but would like to wish all my friends, feline, canine and human
A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!!!!

Mum has taken the (Teddy) off my profile name! I will answer to Edward but just ignore her when she calls me Teddy. Teddy indeed - I have a princely name and think I should be called Prince Edward! Mum says I'm getting a bit too big for my boots! MOL!

Wow!! What a wonderful welcome I've had from ny new Catster friends. I've been at my new home for 9 days now and I'm having so much fun. When my brofur Alfie went to the Bridge mum said she definitely wasn't adopting any more cats. She's so pleased she changed her mind now and feels it what's dear sweet Alfie would have wanted.
I'm keeping mum on her toes - I'm into everything - I fell in the swing bin and came out covered in food and leftovers, I'm into every opened cupboard and drawer and playing with every toy in the house! I'm having so much fun. I love to suck and knead on mum but she stands it for so long as I stick my claws in hard and says it hurts! What a spoilsport!
My new brofurs and sisfurs are fine with me - all except Rosie who thinks I should have been left outside! She spits and swears at me but I don't care and just walk away. I don't think she's doing it as much now 'cos she gets no reaction from me and it's no fun for her. Mum gives her and the other kitties lots of cuddles and tells them all how special they are 'cos she doesn't want them to feel left out. I don't mind sharing mum though.
I don't know why I can't play out in the garden with my family but it seems I'm not allowed until I've been here a lot longer. I hope the sunshine is still here when I get to play out.
Thankyou to my new friends for the lovely messages and gifts. My page is looking really pretty now and mum hopes to put more pictures on soon.
