Medicines. Being brushed - she has always hated it. Bouncy pupies!

Favorite Toy:
Anything fuzzy infused in catnip.

Favorite Nap Spot:
My lap, bed or the bay window sill next to it.

Favorite Food:
Roast turkey breast. Her glucosamine treats.

Her snuggles are darned awesome and she has an incredible purr!

Arrival Story:
My first cat, Toes, needed a housemate once we moved out of the shared house she grew up in. I spent nearly a year 'interviewing' adult kitties to rescue who might be a good housemate for her. I found Marbles a few months after she finished weaning the kittens she had while she had after she was caught as a stray by the local animal control. When her time was nearly up AC called MEOW in Mercer Island (now Kirkland) since she is a lovely, goofy, gorgeous kitty and the knew she was adoptable.

Marbles and I lost our kitty friend Toes at the end of September 2010 to chronic renal failure. I still miss her and am so glad I still have Miss Marbles. Miss Marbles has developed arthritis in her spine and hips. In Nov 2013 after an unexpected v-e-t visit she was diagnosed with a primary adenoma in the lower lobe of a lung. The mass is as large as an adult human's thumbprint. All this on top of increased indications of arthritis progression on the x-rays. Sigh... After a 7-month era of intensive loving, increasingly challenging pain management I had to help Marbles cross the Bridge. She is missed.

Farewell to my Marbles....

After an incredibly loving, all too short 15 years together, Marbles crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 16, 2014.

She had been diagnosed last November with a lung tumor, arthritis and kidney I made sure she had Quality time. Love, play, great food and as pain free as could be managed.

She was a well-loved fluffy friend with a heart of gold and a craving for the 'nip. She was a beautiful kitty, loving and very goofy too!

I fulfilled that uncomfortable final promise I make to each of my pets. When their life is no longer of good quality and (hopefully) without crisis causing them undue stress I will honor their life.

Marbles is at Peace, romping without pain and catching up with all the dogs and cats I have loved over the years.

When I got home from the vet's office my condo felt emptier than ever. Amazing how 'big' those feline personalities can be.

Eventually I will honor her memory by rescuing a bonded pair of cats, but I need to heal a bit first.

I knows Ebony sent me a Big Hug and a Cutie giftie, but I gotz a couple others and I can't figure out how to find out who sent them.

I love them, hugs make me feel cozy and that is extra special thing since I have a bit of trouble feeling warm enough any more. I love snuggles and hugs WAY more than I used to and it makes Mom happy. Tho the reason I love them more does not.

Mom gotz my medicine in TUNA flavor this month and I like it lots better than the other stuff. Tho I still purrtend to not want it and make her play chase! HEE!

But I have a lot of good days so far, we focus on that.

I don't like medicine...even if it tastes like CHICKEN!

Early in November, a few weeks before TURKEY DAY, Mom took me to the v-e-t office. I was not acting like myself, said mom.

My favorite v-e-t and the techs who love me were there. After years of working to maintain a certain weight, I shocked everyone by revealing I had lost a 3rd pound this year! My mom started sounding like she was gonna cry after that...

We had to wait a couple minutes for the Dr. but there was a window I wanted to look out of while we waited! But I could not jump up like I used to, so Mom gently picked me up and we watched a squirrel, a couple birdies and some breeze together. I have Mom trained pretty well.

The news after they took all kinds of pictures of me (all black & white) and that is when they saw the bad thing in my chest. I also have something kinda wrong with my kidneys. All this made my Mom really sad.

Now I have medicine to help keep me from hurting and Mom is feeding me all kinds of little treats to help me keep weight on. We snuggle a lot more than ever now, I like that best of all.

Don't forget to love your people and fur-siblings all the time!
