indoors Arrival Story: Yet another rescue from my neighborhood. One of my neighbors bought Gypsy's mother Lola on Craigslist. The owner said he was going to kill her if no one took her. Lola was pregnant & when my neighbor brought her home, Lola got out of the house the first day and never came back. She had her kittens under another neighbors house and when the kittens were around 5 weeks old, Lola brought them to live under my porch. The kittens were feral, but we worked real hard to domesticate them. They are still semi-feral. When Gypsy was around 7 months old she was attacked by another cat and developed and deep wound that became an infected abcess. We caught her and took her to the vet. She had to have surgery and we brought her home and kept her in a large dog cage to let her heal. She wasn't in the cage for long and soon was roaming around the bedroom the cage was in. While she healed, we fell in love with her and couldn't imagine putting her back outside. So she's been with us ever since! She's a very special girl!
