Arrival Story: In march 2012 before Simba was diagnosed with cancer again I was browsing a website for adoptable cats and came across Mally whose name was then Letch. He is an 18 months old, brain damaged black and white cat and was just about to go to his 3rd home. I didnt think any more about him until a couple of weeks after I lost Simba and I found myself reading his story again, when I got to the bottom of the page it had been updated just a few minutes before, he was looking for another home. Simba and Ollie must have been working together on this one. I got in touch and in just over a week he is here. He had a long journey to get here, but it is as if he has been here before, he seems to know where everything is ad his favourite places to sleep were Simbas places and his favourite place in the garden to sit, was Simbas place.

Bio: Mally was brought to a vets as a stray, he had a very nasty, infected wound on his neck. While the nurse was dressing his wound, he turned round and bit the nurse, who then said he should be pts. He was rescued from the vets by a cat charity. It seems that Mally is retarded mentally and didnt seem to fit into any place that he was homed, no one seemed to know how to handle him and he never really seemed to settle with anyone. At 18 months old and in a very short time he had been homed 3 times, bless him.
I contacted the cat rescue that had him and everything else seemed to fall in place. I had the name Mally in my mind before he was here but it suits him ad in a couple of days he was responding to it, he has had 2 names before but never answered to them. The first thing he did when he was let out of his basket, he went to to top of the stairs and sat looking down at me as if to say, 'well, im home'. When he first went out in to the garden, he seemed to know where he was going.
Since he has been here, I have had the chance to watch him and between myself and my vet, we suspect that he has hyperaesthesia, which would explain alot. He has bad skin at the moment, he has been flea treated and I am now sorting out his diet to see if that helps.
I believe that Simba and Ollie have had something to do with Mally finding a home with us. He has settled in so quickly as if he has always been here and knows where everything is. He is a very sweet cat but is confused on how to act and seems very kittenish in some ways. He very purry and chatty and sometimes I wake up at night to hear him chatting to himself. He also hums, it sounds like he has a force field around him. He is very affectionate but is not sure what to do and will turn round and try to bite or swipe, but there is no malice in his actions, he dosnt bite hard and his claws are never out and he seems very sorry after.
