So some of our neighbors moved out of the apartment complex last week and they had the nerve to abandon their poor kitty! Thank goodness my Auntie and Uncle took her in for a few days! Her original name was Bear but we changed it Phantom. She was obviously very scared because she was left behind by her family and she went from being an only cat to suddenly having to share everything with THREE cats in just a matter of hours. Auntie posted a craigslist notice for her asking an adoption fee of $20 to ensure that she went to a good home this time and two very nice girls came the day after she posted and they took Phantom because it was love at first site for all 3 of them! Mom was actually with the neighbors that took her in when they got her and two of their cats and a cat for another neighbor of ours from a farm and mom was going to take her but grandpa and I said no so she was given to those neighbors who we thought would take care of her.

such a shame how some humans treat their kitties we are so furry happy she found a new loving furever home
I've acquired several cats over the years because of that kind of heartless people. When I lived in an apartment, the maintenance people would bring me cats other tenants moved away & left behind. It used to make me so mad because over the years I've moved a cattery, a kennel of collies & German Shepherd dogs & various other animals several times. I always persisted looking until I managed to find a place where I could take my animals, they were family after all. It makes me so mad when people move & abandon their non-human family members to fend for themselves or dump them in the pound or a kill shelter. You're an Angel for taking in that dear kitty & giving her a forever home & the chance to live she so desperately needed.
I agree with Bratsky..we are furmily members..these hoomans who abandon animals should never ever be allowed any more pets of any kind!! We are soo very happy this kibbie's situation got turned around in a hurry and she is safe and cared for and will be loved..Purrs to YOU for doing this kind act of selfless love!!
