I went to the vet today and my doctor thinks I have ringworm. This means I must be locked away for a time and me and everyone in my house will have to get special baths. But what is even worse is that I tested positive for feline leukemia. They are sending out a second test and we hope this is a false positive.
Please purr for me and my family, my friends. We may not be on catster much for a while.
Kitten purrs of sadness and disbelief,
Purring for you and your pawrents. I know they must be terribly overwhelmed right now, but please tell them not to despair. Ringworm, though a very pesky thing, can be taken care of (my family had to deal with this when my sister HM was adopted). Hopefully the FELV will turn out to be false positive. IF it does come back positive again, I am sure there will be catster pawrents who will be able to guide you on how best to care for a FELV cat.
You and your family are in our thoughts Taz. Lots of purring going on fur you. Hugs.

That is a hard to hear report:(
I do know there are not a few kitties here on Catster who live ordinary lives with FELV.
There must be a forum to help you ask questions?
Sure do hope that the ringworm can be eradicated.
Many purrs & hugs, Poco-Taz
Sending you lotsa purrs.
That news is stinky, Taz, and we are all going to put our purr machines on overdrive for you. We sure hope the test was wrong, and that your ringworm isn't too bad. Take care, and stay strong!
We are all purring up a storm for you here.
