Leave a treat for Boris

Nicknames: Bosman, Bosmatron, Bosmaniac, Bos-man-hater, Boz

Quick Bio:
 Likes: Peace and quiet

Pet-Peeves: strangers in the house, the vacuum cleaner, his uncle Ian who always manages to accidently scare him by wafting his coat in his face or something......

Favorite Toy: Any fishing toy

Favorite Nap Spot: Mum or dad's lap

Favorite Food: Any moist food although it upsets his tummy so he has to avoid it

Skills: He has perfected the art of looking miserable!

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story: We weren't looking for another cat but I happened to spot Boris on the RSPCA cat shelter website and he looked so sad we just had to take him in. We are not sure of his history, he was found as a stray but we believe he has been abused in some way. He is incredibly timid, especially around your feet and his back legs look as though they may have been broken at some time. He has been with us almost a year now and making incredible progress. Everyday he becomes a little braver but is still very unsure around Spike in particular despite being about twice as big!

Lives Remaining: 7 of 9

Had to play with Mummy again today. I don't really think I can be bothered with it but she thinks it might increase my confidence a bit. She had a snake thing with a feather on it so I half-heartedly tried to catch it to make her happy. I've never really played before you see so as I'm nearly six its difficult to learn now! Didn't have to play for very long as daddy came in the room and startled me a little so I ran downstairs. There are some new scratching posts downstairs. Mummy put some catnip on them. I didn't dare investigate before when my brothers were there, especially as Jimmy got possessive over it and a bit aggressive with Spike. Must be good stuff because Jimmy is normally very laid back. I think I might check out the new posts sometime when Spike and Jimmy are asleep.

Spike and Jimmy had to stay indoors all day so I was a little scared they would be charging around all day and disturb my peace and quiet. I get nervous when they are boisterous but they just slept today. I am nearly six years old after all and find it hard to keep up with the youngsters at times!
Managed to use the litter tray again while mummy and daddy were out. I have been having a few problems in that area but they have been very patient. They know it is because I get a little nervous. I do like being here, it is much better than living in the cat shelter but I still find it difficult sometimes when there is a sudden movement and around people's feet. I especially don't like that thing they call the vacuum cleaner. I think that it might suck me in so I disappear when ever it appears. It makes a strange growling noise which scares me. It scares Jimmy too so that makes me feel a bit better about myself!

Well that was a relief. Uncle Ian was supposed to being coming round but he couldn't make it. Last time he came I was sitting on a chair downstairs, being really brave, until he sat on the arm of the chair and tipped it over. Mummy said she didn't know who was more scared, him or me...
The time before he wafted his coat right in my face, by accident, but its not what a cat wants when he is trying to be brave!
Mummy and daddy are trying very hard with the litter tray situation. I think they have finally realised I need one somewhere safe, where I can make a quick getaway if I need to. They were really pleased yesterday when I left a smelly one in the litter tray rather than under the table.
Well, its time to be brave and venture downstairs for a cuddle....
