Arrival Story: I am not the gardian of guinnevere, just someonewho would like to help get her adopted. all credit for info, photos, bios, etc. goes to Good Mews Animal Foundation in Mariette Ga.
Bio: Guinnevere was named after the Crosby, Stills & Nash song as she has beautiful green eyes which stand out against her silky black coat.
This beautiful girl was brought to an emergency vet when someone found her with a severely broken leg. Her leg could not be saved, so it was amputated. The staff contacted Good Mews to see if we had space available.
Guinnevere went to foster care to recuperate from her surgery. She was a real trooper and took her meds without a fuss and she responded to the love she was shown. After a few months of healing, Guinnevere ventured out of her safe room and started to run all over the house! She also learned to use her front paws to pull herself up on the couch. Just because she has three legs, doesn’t mean she can’t run with the best of them!
Guinnevere is a very affectionate kitty that loves to be petted under her chin and on her cheeks. She would make a great “office assistant” because while her foster mom worked on the computer, she would sit in her lap and watch the screen for anything that moved.
Guinnevere would do great as a single cat if her family was at home a lot to give her the attention she loves. She would also do fine with another laid-back kitty.
The humans at the shelter tell me that the reason I have not been adopted is because phycologically, they say humans don't pick black doggies and kitties. Well here is what I say to those humans: PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!! I am a perfectly good cat and have every right to be adopted! Black is not bad! And at the shelter, they even said that for May 2012, they would lower my adoption fee just because i am black! See, I'm not that bad! Please spread the word and help me get adopted!
Licks and Love,
