indoors Arrival Story: Skimble was a kitten born to a previous friend. So I decided I wanted a kitten to keep me company, especially in the car and on trips. So she was given the name Skimbleshanks, in honor of TS Eliot's railway cat. Bio: I carve puppets and dolls from foam rubber and Skimble has taken to mimicing my motions on the blocks of foam. She can "carve" a perfectly straight line and works in the same manner as I do, starting at one end and moving to the other.
Skimble was also featured in a webcomic based on people's dreams. My roomie at the time dreamt she could suddenly understand Skimble's twittering noises, and she was actually discussing Marxist ideals. In the dream Skimble began publishing a Marxist newsletter and demanded to know what other kitty would stand up and be the champion of the proletariat.
