Arrival Story: We went to the famous Canton Flea Market looking for a cat. A couple of elderly people had two kittens in a rabbit cage that had a paper sign with "FREE" scrawled on it. They said their barn cat had had kittens and they didn't want any more cats. One, a male was a Siamese with blue eyes. The other was a female with green eyes, and she was a calico (dilute), the kind I'd wanted all my life. My husband wanted a female, so we took her in a heartbeat. She was tiny and afraid and climbed down into the gear box under the rubber shift stick cover in the car. We managed to get her out, and she climbed up under the bucket seats. When we got her home, she ran to the kitchen and went back into a hole in the cabinet baseboard the construction man had failed to cover and stayed there for 3 days.
Bio: Her right eye was shot out by a neighbor kid when she was about 4. It took about a year, but she is again the best mouser on the planet.
