Fuzzy furball stick

On his strawberry pillow next to my head. The strawberry is a pillow that my American cat used to sleep on, now Wickers has taken it over :)

Skills:
His whiskers are curled and inverted, um, they poke him in the eye a lot so um...not really a skill so much as a tolerence to ignore them

Arrival Story:
I had recently moved to Tokyo and was looking for a way to adopt a cat as I had gone thru the trouble of finding an apartment that would not only rent to gaijin students, but also allow pets. I've lived with cats my entire life in the States and not having one in my new home was going to be the hardest part of living abroad. There aren't the same kind of rescue shelters we have in America (save for two that I found that were far from where I live) and to buy a cat means to spend upwards of $4,000US dollars on even the most common breeds. I didn't want to buy one,not only because of the price tag, but because I don't like the idea of buying an animal when so many perfectly lovley strays and domestics need homes. After combing the internet and forum after forum I finally found this short little blurb on a forum "Have Persian cat need to rehome..." I emailed, his owner called me right then and there, interviewed me over the phone and by the next weekend he was at my house:) He came from a home where the daughter was allergic to him so he was shaved all the time, plus they have a Great Dane who was "overly aggressive" in his play with the cat, so he really needed a new home. I feel blessed to have found that random ad in the sea of the internet and feel like Wicket and I were meant to find each other and be BFFs :)
