A day in my manytoed life
Finally homeApril 11th 2012 9:21 pm[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Well I'm home after driving 2200 miles in 45 hours at least my human companion did I slept on his lap most of the trip and threw up everywhere a couple times though that's cause I'm sick not from the ride after 3 days of constant iv fluids I found out theres no change in my levels and my kidney disease has reached the final stage which is why I get sick to my stomach and keep losing weight I'm only 11.2 pounds now and generally don't feel that good even though I wave my tail all the time still and purr and cuddle I'm glad to be back in familiar surroundings and am hoping to spend what time I do have at home and try to enjoy the rest of my life as much as I can I know my companion is upset at the thought of losing me soon and I'm quite scared myself he's done more for me than anyone else ever would have and I feel lucky to have had someone that was willing and able to spend the time and money for all of my care the last few years he says he could've bought a new truck for less but a truck isn't as good of companion and won't sleep on your pillow and purr anyway enough of the sad talk I'm still very much alive and going to enjoy as much time as I can I'm not done fighting yet
Leave A Comment | 3 people already have Oh sweet Salem sorry to hear this news. I had CRF too and I fought it for a year before I had to give up the fight. I hope you get a plenty of time to say good bye and who knows you might just feel real well for a while your companion sure treats you well, my mom and dad spent lots of time with me too. Dad even choose to stay home rather than attend an out of town function cause he did not want to leave me alone while I was sick. Sending hugs cuddles and purrs to you and your companion. I bet you are so happy to get back home. Keep up the fight, Salem! CRF can be very up and down. Wishing you more good days ahead with your human. Enjoy everyday as much as you can. Our Angel Rocky Ann had CRF too. She was still lucky enough to live to almost 19. We found that when she wouldn't eat anything else, baby food tasted good to her and helped keep up her weight. We fed her Gerber 2nd Foods Meat only. Our vet said she could have a couple of jars a day. But can't give only that for more than a couple of days as cats need certain things not in baby food. But it settles their tummy and can get their appetite going. Best Wishes and Purrs to you Salem. Love, Zack purrz a plentee salem, N ewe iz rite dont give up N fite with all ya got...de blessings oh st francis two ewe, we be glad ta heer ya made it home safe lee...22 miles iz bad enuff....2200....whoa.....high paws two ewe for THAT accomplishment!!! |
