Arrival Story: We adopted this angel, Bela from Kitten Rescue. We initially were there to adopt his brother Radio (a special needs kitty) but ended up taking 5 month old Bela with us as well. He just batted at my pants and when I picked him up and he put his gentle paws on either side of my face it was love at first sight. He chose us and we were so lucky to have such an amazing creature even if it was for such a short time.

Bio: Bela passed away on Feb 25th, 2005. I can still barely bring myself to talk about it. He went from the happiest most playfull kitten to a lethargic, sad and very sick little boy overnight. When we took him to the vet we found out that he had contracted FIP. It was a fatal diagnosis. He was so ill and so uncomfortable that we chose to end his suffering after the vet told us he would linger for a few more days before dying....he was a beautiful boy and deserved to have us be strong and allow him a dignified passing. We held him the whole time.
Bela died from a disease that could have been prevented. Because of poor hygene and exposure to other animals who carried the disease in the place he was born in he contracted this fatal illness and became another casualty of this horrible disease.
Even if we knew we would loose him so soon I would still have adopted him. He was such a beautiful and loving animal. He was the glue in our family and we are all devistated that he is no longer with us.
Sweet dreams my little prince...you will always and forever be our Bela.
All the love in the world,
Mom, Dad, Riley, Radio and Salem
