Arrival Story:
In late May of 2009 I lost a beautiful, lovable black n white cat named Oreo that we had adopted when his family on our block abandoned him. He was an outdoor cat, but I eventually got him to accept indoor life. I felt a connection with Oreo...he was my best buddy. After having him just over a year he fell ill to urinary tract disease/crystals, and on Memorial Day wknd after rushing him to the ER, he died when we got there. I was devastated. I wasn't planning on getting another cat, but came across Monkee's pic on an adoption website, and fell in love. He had some upper resp. problems, but at the age of 6mo after his medication courses were done, he was ready to come to us. He is a dog in cat clothing, and now my new best buddy, always following me everywhere, comforting me when i'm down, and celebrating with me when i'm happy.
