I've wanted a kitty since I was able to say the word. Due to many factors, I was unable to get one until this past summer (haha). After a slightly upsetting personal issue, my parents finally decided I was allowed to get a cat, so we drove over to the local petstore (where I used to work) to adopt from the centre. I saw a great many kitties, and they were all beautiful, but its true what they say: "the cat chooses you, you dont choose the cat". Summer was extremely vocal and interactive with me, even if I moved away from her cage, she still made herself well known. Finally, I couldnt resist. She has become such a wonderful addition to my family, getting along with everyone and melting even the non-pet heart of my father.
Bio:
Her complete name is Summer Regan-Titania. I was in a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, and it is well told that a cat must have three different names: a common name (she came with the name Summer), an unusual name (Regan and Titania are both Shakespeare characters, in theme with many of my past pets. Titania is the Queen of the Fairies in A Mid-Summer Nights Dream, so it was fitting she have a name from that play,). She is very vocal, we often have conversations about the birdies and squirrels in the backyard. She isnt a huge fan of cuddling, but she likes to always be with you, even if its just napping on the couch while you watch tv. I'm lucky to believe she was just a kitty who was surrendered and not in any kind of tricky situation, because she loves everyone and really doesnt have any bad habits.
