Meeting The Family

The past few weeks have been a little stressful. I'm now able to roam the house at will but I'm still getting use to all my new brothers and sisters. For the most part it is going well. I still have moments when I just want to be in my room by myself so Mom comes to visit me there. My little brother Mokka hangs out with me in my room sometimes.

My dog brothers still scare me a little. Sometimes they just get to excited to see me. Mom makes them stay downstairs so I can have "me" time when I go to my room. She says I will get used to everyone. It will just take time.

Last week and again last night I upset Mom by peeing on her brand new sofa. The first time I did this she tried to carry me downstairs to show me what I had done wrong. Mistake. I scratched and bit her. She has cleaned the sofa and today she ordered a plastic cover and a pet protective quilted sofa cover. Mom thinks the stress is causing this behavior as I go in the box most of the time.

I am trying really hard to be good but there are just so many new things to get used to. Mom says to take my time. It will all work out and I shouldn't stress over it. Everything will be fine. I am trying to listen to her but sometimes it is hard. I'm used to being outside on my own and now I'm inside with a whole new family to get used to. I'm sure she's right but I need my space.

It's been a long day going to my room to take a nap. Maybe Mokka will come nap with me.

Loving Purrs,
Molokai Timmy

Hey Molokai, Everything does take time. If you are stressed maybe a calming collar would help you.

Let me know, Mom can get you a 10% discount.
Good luck, dude!

Sometimes it can take a while to adjust. Not getting to go outside anymore can be hard.

We, too are purring hard that one of these days you will be so happy and fulfilled inside this big furmily that is now yours!
Just remind yourself of that next time the weather is bad, or the stomach feels hungry...and you have furends, now, even though you do have to get used to them.
It sounds like Mokka is your best furend already!

I gotta protect that wimpy Minko, cause he doesn't look out for himself that way and gets right under the paws and schnnoter of dog-guy!
Imagine having 2 of them to contend with!

Minko says that he actually likes dog-guy...imagine that!
Maybe one day you will, too, Molokai!
