Arrival Story: Mom decided to start fostering feral and semi-feral kittens and cats. I was her third kitty to foster. Right before I came to stay, Mom's friend Luna passed away. She was so taken with me, that they decided to give me a chance to stay here. I fit in so perfectly, that they said yes. Woo - I don't have to go to another home!

Bio: From mom: When she first arrived, Chloe was almost completely feral. Every time we walked by the cage, she would pancake herself - hiss, flatten, puff up. I was actually afraid of this little three month old kitten! For the first week, she lived in her dog crate with minimal human contact. I would force her to come out once a day, and sit on my lap for one minute. This happened right before I put her in her freshly cleaned cage. She soon realized that when she was put back, wet food magically appeared. So she started wanting to come out. Still aggressive, though. I would look at her, and give her lots of slow blinks. I think that's what got her really trusting me. She realized I wasn't out to hurt her. She started doing little monkey flips in her cage about a two weeks after we had gotten her, so I realized it was time to eliminate the cage completely. About another week after that, she turned into the most affectionate, needy cat we had ever had. She started sleeping with Reggie (the dog!) and even got our grumpy Tails to play with her. That's when we knew that she already found her forever home, with us.
