Arrival Story: Vanessa had a very rough start in life. She was the runt of the litter of purebred Manx kittens. Her sibs kept pushing her away from her mother, she was able to get some milk and loving but not enough. The parents of Vanessa'a mother brought her to Petsmart were St. Francis Animal Rescue was having a adoptions. Vanessa was turned over to Kathy who became her foster. By this time Vanessa was very sick and was not stable, she was under weight and had trouble breathing. They started her on bottle feeding every 2 hrs and had a special nebulizer made to save her little life. She started to gain weight very slowly, at around 7 weeks she was still under 2lbs. I found out they almost lost her when she developed a infection in her little body, they gave her antibiotics and she did pull through. Vanessa came to us at 12 weeks old and was full of health and play. It was very scarry for her but has pulled through.
Saturday was my first Birthday and my aunt and uncle came and spent the weekend with me. I have not seen them for 6 months, at first I was a little scared then I was my loving self. My little brother Eric made a total fool of him self running around and playing all of the time. Eric has been teathing and he chews on everything, I wish he would grow up. Now back to me, they said I was looking good, I think I look great. They brought me hugs and kisses which I love most of all. Daddy said I was the purrfit little princess and it's true. Did I tell you that Eric is a total jerk, Calvin is too. Bye for now.
My daddy says that I am 6 months old today, I don't feel any different?
Last week my fav aunt and uncle cam to spend the night, I was so glad to see them. My older sister told me to run and jump on the bed so I did and I made a complete fool of myself, ha ha ha very funny sis. When I jumped on the bed my older brother Calvin was on the bed, he smacked me and I fell of the bed, he is so big and scarry. I paid my sister back by closing the door to the bedroom so she could not get back in, she screamed and was banging on the door. Keiko is the biggest wuss of my family.
Today is a great day I had my final vet visit today, no more shots. I meowed for joy! Then I heard my daddy and the doctor saying something about next year...what's next year 2013? I am so happy I got home, got my face washed, wanted to run and play, then take a nap. Woke up at 4pm and is my butt sore, well back to sleep...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
