To snuggle beside you on the bed, to play with her toys, especially her peacock feather wand
not being allowed in the front room with Smokie and Ruffy and the BUB
Peacock Wand, she likes Natalies 'stinky sock' valerian stuffed toy.
Favorite Nap Spot:
Atop the dresser or beside you on the bed pillows.
Fancy feast classic chicken, but she is a good eater.
To make you fall in love with her in 10 minutes time.
Ah, where to begin? I work for a social service agency. I met Delilah when I was first visiting the young family who had her. Delilah was one of several animals. They were all dearly loved. She lived with another older cat, 4 pitties (who loved cats!) and her people, one a 4 year old girl who called her 'Miss Lila kittyface'.
Her family were taken advantage of by a cruel Super who was taking their rent money and dissapeared. They found out they owed a great deal of back rent that the buildings owners never got. Eviction proceedings started and they looked everywhere for a new place to live, and wound up moving in temporarily with friends, but the friends were 'allergic'. They found placement for the other animals with family, but there was no room anywhere for Delilah.
They contacted me, frantically the day of the eviction and told me that the marshalls had told them if the cat was left there they would have to bring her to the local city shelter, where she might have 48 hours if she were lucky. Well, this wasn't going to happen-we went and got Delilah immediately. She's now 'rooming' with Natalie here, who doesn't care for the arrangement at all! We are seeking the very best FOREVER home for her. She deserves it,she's a very sweet, lovely cat. She loves other animals and is so gentle. The only reason we aren't 'keeping' her is because we live in a small 2 room apartment with 6 cats and not all get along. Delilah makes number 7. But she's here til the right home is found. Searching for the right home for her was agreed upon with her former people, as finding a 'pet friendly' place within their means is proving extremely difficult and because of health issues with extended family which are requiring extensive travel for them. It's felt that stability and permanence for our sweet Lila is very important.
Delilah resides with us in Kew Gardens. She has a sweet personality-she is the 'perfect' cat, she doesn't bite, scratch, talks with tiny 'trills' and has a very kind and tolerant nature. She plays very nicely with CK and has tried to befriend Natalie, to no avail. She is a very loving little cat who asks only to be part of a loving, responsible home.
2/18/12 Today Delilah got a wonderful home with Lynne and Cheryl! She will share their wonderful home in the heart of Greenwich Village as well as rule supreme over their country place in Vermont!
Thank you all for sending such good energy her way!
