Eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping, did I mention eating? She is also v. good at biting noses although truth be told, I think that's her way of tasting us...
Being out of food and having the food bowl taken away while she's still noshing...
Dario, her canine brother.
Favorite Nap Spot:
Anything that's soft and cushy. I'm usually a good choice.
Eating more cat food than all of our other six cats combined. She's also great at putting her paws in your face and biting your nose. She's v. talented...
My Mother suffered a v. long illness and was in the hospital for over nine months. During one of our visits, we were watching television [really, what else is there to do in the hospital?], and some home-decorating show host mentioned adding "whimsy" to drapes. Momster told my husband that when she was released, she was going to adopt a big orange cat and name her Whimsy.
Mom passed away a couple of weeks after that conversation, but we remembered her words. I began an online search for a female orange tabby and managed to find one [most orange tabbys are male - I didn't know that when I began looking] at a shelter about three hours from our house. I contacted them and we picked Whimsy up the next day on April 11, 2003.
She's been w/us for two years now and everytime I play w/her I think of the Momster - she would adore Whimsy...
She is on a diet - most of the comments above were made in jest. She is losing weight and she's v. healthy. We just adore our Whimsy!
Food? Well, I don't mind if I do...
We took Whimsy to the vet last week & she was in okay health. She'd been having a few accidents & wasn't eating as much as normal but overall, she was fine except for her weight -- she weighed a hefty 20 pounds.
On the evening of Tuesday, April 21, 2009, she walked to the garage to use the litterbox. I opened the door for her and five minutes later we found her dead on the garage floor.
We're assuming that she died of natural causes. I've buried her in our backyard.
The cat we adopted in memory of my Momster is now also gone.
