Arrival Story:
Dexter showed up as a stray at my brother's house. He was full of ear mites. My niece wanted to keep him, but they already had 2 cats. I was lucky to "end up with him". He has moved with me at least 5 times in almost 2 decades.
Bio:
Dexter has had IBD and pancreatitis for many years. He is also arthritic, hyperthyroid, and has kidney disease. He is a dear friend and the sweetest boy we've ever had! I'm so happy he's still with us!
In February 2012 he was diagnosed with a uveal mass, hypertension, stage 3 kidney disease, and possible hyperaldosteronism. In March Dexter became very congested and his appetite declined. After a week he improved, but then he had difficulty walking as his right front leg could no longer support his weight. He had fluid in his abdomen. On March 25, 2013 our vet came to our house to release him from his frail and weak body. I feel blessed to have had him for almost 20 years. He will be forever in my heart.

What a busy day it's been at the Bridge. Caster has chosen me as a DDP, what an honor.
I couldn't believe my eyes, when over the Rainbow I saw a familiar face coming at me. Is this really who I think it is? There he was, my best buddy, brofur Siggy. We have been apart for 10 days. I better get busy introducing him to all my new Angel furiends.

Wow - my first Diary of the Day ever. Mom was real surprised when she saw my cute face looking back at her on the Community Page. She wondered if she was dreaming.
This will be my first weekend at the Bridge with my new Angel furiends. We have lots to do with the Easter egg hunt and I'm still learning how use my new wings.
Thanks Catster for making my day special. And a furry thank you to all my furiends wishing me well and helping me celebrate.

Today was another bad day for me. My mom decided life had become too difficult. The vet came to my bedroom to see me. I was laying on my favorite bed and suddenly felt very restful and peaceful.
I am now an Angel, flying free, among many furiends.
