Love & attention

when the family brought in new kittens.... I've had to put up with 7 in my lifetime.... ugh

Favorite Toy:
I was never much into toys...

Favorite Nap Spot:
On a warm rug in a nice, toasty, sun-filled room.

Favorite Food:
I absolutely LOVED my once-a-day canned catfood.... as well as fried chicken... mmmmm.

I could live seemingly forever... I overcame death almost two times!

indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story:
One day, my Mom decided to go check out the cats that were adoptable at the pound... She looked inside at all the kittens, there were a few there, but Max was the only one who paid any attention to her. He'd put his little paws up on the window & look up at her... so she said "Okay, if he's still here tomorrow, I'll take him." Sure enough, Max was still there the next day, in fact, he was the only kitten there. He has had to put up with 2 toddlers [me & my older brother... hehe...] when he was young, but we all grew up & matured together [Max of course matured MUCH faster than we ever did]. Max was always super tolerant of any unpleasant thing we did to him, but he wasn't afraid to tell us we had taken it too far once in a while.... his claws still worked! =]

I have lived my life very thoroughly. I'd say I used up 10 of my nine lives throughout my life. I was the most charming, handsome cat you'd ever laid eyes on for my first 10 years, I was so loving towards all people. I got many many battle scars though... I once got in a fight with something [my owners never figured out what it was... I like it that way...], and lost most of my chin. So if you see a big black spot there below my lip, it's my scar. I've came in the house limping horribly from my fights with raccoons before.... But I was a mighty hunter! I would bring many rats, mice, and shrews to my owners.... I even caught a baby possum & a full-grown mountain boomer before! But my very favorite thing to hunt was always the neighbor's fried chicken. Yum yum, that stuff was great! I have come very very close to death one time... nobody thought I'd make it, but the vet found out it was just a thyroid problem, so I had daily medicine for that & I kicked around for another three or so years. But then age got the best of me, so I was buried in a very special place eventually. Now I'm here in cat-heaven with all the mice I can chase, and all the fried chicken I can eat. No more stiff necks, cramped paws, or creaky ankles, and I'm SO thankful.... NO MORE FLEAS!!!! I am Max.
