Arrival Story:
Little Skye is very timid and I am working each day to gain her trust. She came from a family with 4 kids and another 2 cats who liked to harass her so she spents most of her days hiding, she is slowly coming out of her shell and although I still can't pick her up she loves me to pat her and talk quietly to her..My main goal is just at this point to convince her she is safe and no-one is going to hurt her. She has been with us since Feb and is going great

Skye's Thoughts

Note From Mum

Skye has let me write in her diary today...I just want to let you all know that she has made a wonderful transformation in the last couple of months, her original Mum said it is like she is a different cat. She has come out of her shell and although she is still timid she has total control of the whole house and the other cats she has them both bluffed as she has quite a meow on her and turns into a bit of a witch when she hasn't got all the attention. She is eating heaps now and actually has a bigger dinner than the others (shhhh) and is starting to really fill out...Anyway just wanted to fill her fans in, she is absolutely adorable and so much happier I'm so glad she came to live with us.

Vet Visit

Well yesterday my new Mum put me back in my cage,I was wondering what I had done wrong I am trying to be more outgoing but it is going to take me awhile. As it turns out I was going to the vet (yuk) Mum said that I was going to be fixed as I was more than due...She promised me I would feel so much better and that I wouldn't have those awful feeling's I get from time to time. Well I wasn't impressed and boy was I scared the vet lady wasn't getting me out of that cage no way I put on a real turn just to show them how scared I was, anyway when Mum came to pick me up I didn't even want to look at her and I could tell that made her sad, but I'm hurting so I went to my room and didn't go near Mum or Dad all night. Today I'm feeling so much better and even got on Mum & Dad's bed this morning just to let them know I didn't realy mean to be rude to them...Mum keeps saying sorry sweet Skye and I must admit I am feeling different inside I even gave Kingsley a wack across the head this morning because he went near my food I must be getting braver cause he is heaps bigger than me.

My New Home

Well I didn't know what to think when I was pushed into the cat cage and put in a strange car, thought I was going to that awful smelling vet place...But I wasn't I was taken to a new home, I was greeted by 2 cats who just would not stop staring a me, I was very scared. I have been here a week now and still am not leaving the room where the cat pole is I feel safe up here, and can see when those cats come to stare again...they are being nice to me, and my new Mum & Dad are always coming in and patting me and there always bringing food (great) I didn't get to eat very much at my old home because I was scared and was always getting chased away from my food by the other cats, but I feel once I know my new home and new brother cats, I will try and trust again. My new Mum is so nice she is very gentle with me I try to show her I like her by smooching her when she pats me, but I am still scared. Maybe next week I might try leaving my room to check out the rest of my new home...I sneak around a night when every one is asleep and even got on Mum & Dad's bed last night, but Mum was so happy I came to visit she scared me so I ran back to my room.
