Pet-Peeves: That she isn't the first one fed at mealtime
Favorite Toy: Plush string being pulled for her or dangled

Skills: She can jump higher than any cat I have ever seen. She used to jump to the top of the doors and sit up there. Loves to climb the ladder and swing around the rungs like an acrobat and then explore the upper loft in the workshop.
Arrival Story: Miyuki was given to someone I know who wanted a cat for a special needs child she was caring for. She was not allowed out of the kid's bedroom at any time. They were going to make her a barn cat in November and I felt very strongly that a cat raised in a house should not be put out in a barn to fend for herself at the start of winter especially when she was still just a kitten. I wasn't aware that she even had a cat before and I am so glad I heard her tell someone what she was going to do with it and the poor kitty was confined to one room. Needless to say I took her in a heartbeat. Miyuki was very scared at first because she had been kept in a small bedroom and not socialized. She is a real sweetheart now and loves to be held and petted. She is a very determined kitty and if she has something on her mind, she is determined to complete the mission. The second night I had her I was brushing her when I noticed something shiny in her neck fur. I found a small wire bracelet with rhinestones on her neck! When I took it off her the bracelet tighten up to about 2 1/2 inches! Who knows how long that had been on her. It's a wonder it didn't cut into her neck. I told the person who had her what the foster child had done. I do have pictures of her on the step ladder but I haven't been able to catch her on film when she is do her acrobat performances on the extension ladder. She especially likes Mikhah. So that makes Q and Miyuki who adore him.
Bio: Miyuki means "silence of the deep snow" and because she is black I thought it was a profound name. Mikado is the ruling family of Japan and it added character to her Japanese name. Miyuki loves to clean Mikhah's, my Siberian Husky mix, huge ears before dinner and he lets her! Miyuki was rescued from the same person who had my Miniature Pinscher, Manny Tatsu Maki. I told her she should get no more animals because I have no more room at the inn.
