All 4 of us, Daphne, Alexis, Charlotte and I were loaded into a dog cage last Saturday and were taken on a 2 1/2 hour ride. The vet gave mom a sedative for us, the 3 others were pretty quiet but I whined on and off for the whole ride. Mom felt so sorry for me but there was nothing she could do. She kept on turning around and most of the time I was laying on top of Charlotte, Mom was afraid I was going to crush her.

Mom finally took us out of the car and brought us into a room and told us we would only be here for about 2 weeks, that our new house is not completed yet and we would be staying in this small guest house until then. We were a little creeped out, especially when Mom left us in there by ourselves and we heard all of these loud noises from the other side of the door. We heard Dad tell her she's nuts, then all of a sudden, Mom came in with us, a pillow and blanket in her arms, closed the door, laid down on the floor and went to sleep. We all cuddled around her and felt very comforted.

The next morning Mom left us alone again for a little while. I started getting really antsy and was scratching at the door and meowing to get out. I guess Mom had enough and opened the door. I was the first one out and walked around sniffing everything. HHmm, what are those things going up? I heard Mom tell someone that none of us had ever seen "stairs" before, I guess this is what "stairs" are. I really didn't pay any mind but Charlotte ran up those stairs like she has been doing it all of her life! She up and down, up and down like crazy! The top of the stairs leads to a loft and then she jumped from halfway up the stairs onto the couch. I thought Mom was going to faint!

Then Daphne came out really slowly, but went back into the room again. She was nervous but got over it quickly. Mom then realized that Alexis was not coming out at all so she went in to see if she was OK. Alexis was not in the room. Mom looked all around for her and then noticed there was a crawl space in the closet that she hadn't seen before. Mom was crying and even had Dad and Human Brother open up a wall in a closet upstairs trying to find her. Finally, we found the baby, poor little girl got so freaked out that she somehow managed to get into the drawer of the Roll Away Self Cleaning Litter Box and was hiding for 2 hours before we found her! After Mom took the top off and took her out, hugging her, she then laid in the litter box and stayed there for 6 hours, refusing to come out. Mom's good friend told her to spray some Feliway spray around the room and the entrance to the room, which she did. Dad thought she was crazy but in not even 10 minutes, Little Lexie was running up and down the stairs like she had been born on a staircase! Mom has posted pics of Alexis and Daphne on the stairs having a ball!

We are used to this place now, after 8 days but we will have to move again in a week or maybe 2. Mom is nervous again for us.
