Ash came to live with us as a companion for our other cat Tavish.
He was a "hoarders" cat, one of 35 cats in a 25ft trailer.
He had no whiskers, and did not walk on his feet but the tips of his paws, and he did not open his eyes, but squinted.
It took weeks before I could touch him. First I would go into his room and just stand, for just a moment as he would throw himself at the walls, once he stopped bouncing off the walls, I would sit and talk, when I could get close I would just sit, then one day I touched him and when I did he shivered as if he was going to fit.
Now he climbs our legs and the other day sat on my knee. I cried.
He is a wonderful cat, with such a big heart.
Bio:
After Ash was used to people, enough to share the whole house. His brother Tavish took ill, and would go up to the bedroom to be quiet.
Ash carried all Tav's toys up to the room and put them in a circle around Tav, some of the toys were bigger than Ash, but he dragged them up the stairs. He then laid by the door and watched till Tav felt better and the two came downstairs together.

Hope:
Ash was a hoarders cat, and was rescued, but was in a bad way. It was not thought we could get him to come round, but he is simply gorgeous, inside and out. Every time he breaks another barrier, it is a wonderful gift. Today he gave a kiss and climbed my leg to get his chicken (he never eats it but lets his Brother have it)
But I think he likes the action of being fed :)
Never give up, all animals have a greater capacity than we ever realize.
