Arrival Story:
Ash came to live with us as a companion for our other cat Tavish. He was a "hoarders" cat, one of 35 cats in a 25ft trailer. He had no whiskers, and did not walk on his feet but the tips of his paws, and he did not open his eyes, but squinted. It took weeks before I could touch him. First I would go into his room and just stand, for just a moment as he would throw himself at the walls, once he stopped bouncing off the walls, I would sit and talk, when I could get close I would just sit, then one day I touched him and when I did he shivered as if he was going to fit. Now he climbs our legs and the other day sat on my knee. I cried. He is a wonderful cat, with such a big heart.

After Ash was used to people, enough to share the whole house. His brother Tavish took ill, and would go up to the bedroom to be quiet. Ash carried all Tav's toys up to the room and put them in a circle around Tav, some of the toys were bigger than Ash, but he dragged them up the stairs. He then laid by the door and watched till Tav felt better and the two came downstairs together.

Lives Remaining:
6 of 9

Forums Motto:
No animal was ever born bad!

Ash was a hoarders cat, and was rescued, but was in a bad way. It was not thought we could get him to come round, but he is simply gorgeous, inside and out. Every time he breaks another barrier, it is a wonderful gift. Today he gave a kiss and climbed my leg to get his chicken (he never eats it but lets his Brother have it) But I think he likes the action of being fed :) Never give up, all animals have a greater capacity than we ever realize.

Feeling down

Today I got some sad news and I am feeling a bit down. Its always sad when one of our fur pals passes over the bridge. I will miss you my friend and thought of you often while we were making travel plans.
(to be fair my plans were more thoughts as I get distracted by the birds ....A LOT)
We are still in the flat, and Murph has decided he will try to tunnel his way outside (his breaks for freedom mean he only makes the stairs and then he is caught.........he is slow) I made a dash for freedom once and it took them 30 mins to catch me, even then I chose to go in, as running up and down the stairs 40 times while they called and went up and down the three flights tring to get me was only fun for a short space of time, then I got bored and needed a nap.
Anyway back to Murphs tunnel, he has started trying to pull up the carpet, he is not getting very far, and the peeps are throwing soft stuff his way when he does it. I think its so we always have a pillow when we get tired..... this distraction means we have not got far but will keep trying.
Okay off to see what stage we are at.....take care all and hugs to those who are sad and in need of extra purrs.

Your friend

Firstly thank you to everyone who has been sending gifts.
We are all so thrilled when people remember us.
Mum wanted me to drop a line in the hopes it may help anyone in our position.
You see what happened was Mum is from the UK Dad is from the USA. We were all born in the USA.
Now Mum's parents needed our help and Dad said we have to move.
(I am keeping this short to get to the point) Mum and Dad sold everything they had and got us tickets to fly over to the UK. It was pretty scary but the people were great and took good care of us and we are in our new home, in the UK. Mum and Dad have a flat/apartment and they have to sell that and move again so we have a garden to play in again.
I guess they really meant it when they said we will stay together.
Mum said I can tell you more another time if anyone is interested.
If anyone has any questions about traveling with us Fur's and want to ask Mum how she got on I will pass on any messages or questions.
Anyway to all my pals I hope this explains why I have been out of touch, I am trying to learn the new language so when we can get outdoors I can converse to the locals.
Oh its the anniversary of when I came to live with these Peeps 4 years ago today, we have been through a lot and its all still exciting.
Got to go the seagulls are raiding the bins again, that's always entertaining.
Speak soon.

Good Morning to you all
Sorry things have been busy here on the mountain, mum is all better now and is "making up for lost time" I am all better and some what more Zen like. I even sleep with the peeps in the same room and will spend the evening with them on the couch if they are sitting still long enough. I never did this before as you know I have no idea why! I think it was my past just made it seem uncomfortable. Now its GREAT, I lay there on the softest pillow and they stroke my face and back, they are still careful of my bald spot, but its fine. I lay smiling and I even found myself purring, that was funny........I woke myself up and wondered what the noise was. Anyway all is good.
The hens and Charlie Rooster are being good, Penny is looking after everyone, and Murph is.........well Murph. So now mum is better all is right and I am feeling very Zen!
Remember my friends, sometimes happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have!
Stay happy, stay safe, and remain content.
