Arrival Story:
I got to work one morning, to be informed by the mechanic that he had found a kitten the afternoon before, hiding under the forklift, and that it was still there. I went out to where he showed me, and there was this tiny little ball of dark fur, hollering its head off. Less than an hour later, he came into my office with a cardboard box, telling me he'd managed to catch the little darling. I immediately picked her up, and the tiny thing snuggled up into my hand. The moment I touched he soft fur, she was my kitty - I was caught!

Pip was only three and a half weeks old when I got her, so I ended up bottle feeding her (and her sister, Mouse, whom I got three or four days later, same place, same situation) for the first two weeks she lived with me. It was her sister, Mouse, who got her to try her first solid (canned) kitten food, which was a good thing, since kitten milk costs about the same as a good prime rib, ounce for ounce!
