Arrival Story: I went to a local kill shelter in Colorado to adopt a kitty. I had recently lost my Darwin and needed a new friend. I had put down money on a kitten that I named Jed. Because Jed was so young they told me I had to wait two weeks before he could come home, but I could visit him any time. I tried to go over to the shelter a few times a week to hold him and play with him. One day I stopped by and they were very busy with sdoptions. I had to wait for a room for Jed and I to play. As I was looking around the shelter, I saw a stack of animals in cages outside of a door marked private. I asked someone where those animals were going. She did not want to answer me. Finally after some prodding she told me that the animals in cages had run out of time and were waiting to be euthanized. As she said this to me, I heard a little soft mew. I looked down and peeking out from the bottom cage was a pair of beautiful yellow green eyes. I demanded to be able to see this beautiful animal. After some run around, some offical looking person came out and told me that I would have to sign a release to visit with her as she was considered "vicious and aggressive." I signed immediately and she and I were taken into a room. When she was let out of her cage she immediately run under a chair to hide. I sat down on the floor with her and talked to her. Within a few minutes she came out, sniffed my fingers, and fell over for a belly rub. I took her home that day. She is the sweetest, most mellow creature you will find. Vicious indeed! My little death row angel!
