We're very sorry for the long silence, mom got very sick ('tis the season!) and was laid up in bed for ages and she's not too good at keeping up with things sometimes.
I hope y'all had an amazing winter! I'm ready for the sun to be around more, personally, I loves me some sunbathing.
Thank everyone so much for the comments and gifts and congratulations! I can't believe I got cat of the day and diary of the day. It's such an honor. :) Everyone here is so amazing. Mom keeps telling me how grateful she is.
While my mom is getting better, I don't think I'm feeling so good lately. Nobody can figure out why but sometimes I will start howling and curling up in a ball, only to be okay and energetic one minute later. Last night I was cuddling with mommy and lying on her chest as she was sleeping, purring, and then I got up suddenly and started howling and retching. She was really scared but then I got quiet and it passed. I think she's worried that I'm in pain. I think we're going to go to the neurologist again soon.
My seizure like things (the claws coming out and the paws contorting, the tremors in my back) are coming back again. I guess Keppra wasn't the miracle we thought it would be. :( I've gained a little weight, maybe I just need a little more of it. Speaking of weight, even though I'm 5 or 6 months old, I'm still the size of a 10 week old kitten - except for my girth.
We're at a a bit of a loss considering what to do with that (I heard mom call me fat!) How rude. Apparently I should be growing outwards, not just expanding. Maybe I just am not meant to grow much more than I already have. I'm 2 and 1/2 pounds, and my vet wants me to be 3 before she spays me. She says it's safer that way. Who knows when I'll reach that weight, though.
((Note from Mom: I remember when the "amazing" rescue I was fostering her for brushed off my concerns about her seizure-like motions and eyesight problems in September before I went blind in that eye and said she'd only get it checked out "after she gets spayed" since it was probably nothing (she was 1 lb at the time). Bitter. Also, even though their nonprofit organization rules are they spay their animals, the full burden and cost of it and her microchipping and vaccinations is now on me, because why would rules apply to someone they don't like anymore?))
Soon we're going to start using a baby food processor to puree my food to make it a little easier for me to digest, since sometimes I seem uncomfortable for a few hours after I eat unless it's KMR. Mom ordered a journal today from a startup site called boundforanything with a weekly diary, charts, and stuff like that to record my progress in, so she can use it as a reference for herself and other people. We hope it works.
Thank you again everyone for your purrs and headbonks and love. I'll be more in touch with y'all! Promises.

oh sweetheart. we're so sorry you're feeling lousy again. We'll continue to purr loud and hard for you. My mom has been sick for over 2 weeks with that dreaded flu also and it's no fun that's for sure! Please keep us posted on how you are and what the doctor says if you go. Sending you lots of purrs and snoozles.
You're getting lots of prayers and purrs from our corner. We hope that you can find something to take care of the pain, as Mom knows how hard it is to see your little darling suffer while you're helpless to change it.
Healing Whisker Kisses,
Minnie & Penny
We are purring of you and your mommy to feel better.
Sending purrs for your mum and you and hope you are both all better soon. Purrs for you growing big and strong soon. Toby and Josie
Hope you are feeling better. I'm sending purrs.
My little Sweetheart,
Please feel better! My purrs are with you...and power of the paw!
We're hoping you get to see that neurologist soon, too. Meanwhile, wrapping you up with lots of warm purrs and love.
