indoors Arrival Story: Fearless is one of 20 feral cats that we have trapped, had spayed and released on our property, the majority of them black cats. She is also the only one who decided she absolutely MUST come in; wasn't taking "no" for an answer! As with all of them, she came with weepy eyes and a respiratory infection, both of which are clearing up now. She eats enough for 2 full grown cats - yes, she's been wormed - she's just making up for lost time, and she's already gained a pound in a week! From scruffy and bony, she is turning into a beautiful, sleek kitten with a very sweet disposition. Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 The Last Forum I Posted In: Cartoon reruns

Five Things I Like About Spring:
1. Running on the leash outside – of course, I do that in the winter, too!
2. Chasing bugs in the cattery
3. Chasing balls in the house – oh, wait – I do that in the winter, also! MOL
4. Sitting, or better, running in the warm sunshine
5. Dragging the Mama under low hanging branches while I am running on the leash outside in the warm sunshine – yay SPRING!!!
I get to make the introductions: Meet Owl!!! He's been with us a month, but we only just got back from the vet today to get our boosters and get Owl checked out. The Mama says she didn't want to jinx anything by putting up his page too soon, but now here he is!
The vet lady says he is fine, other than a little respiratory infection and some ear mites. He had blood tests, and got his ears cleaned, and his first vaccines, and some Clavamox (yuckie!!!). And guess what - he's already put on almost 2 pounds since he got here - he was awful skinny!
I'm already playing with him some, and so is Uncle Socks, but Samhain says "forget it!" and the Sleep isn't all that enthusiastic, but she's not mean or anything.
So, I guess now I'm going back to sleep, because the shots always make me feel kinda weird. Owl's having a little dinner, but I think I'll eat something later...
What can I say? My first and only real boyfriend, Snow, has asked me to be his valentine again! I feel honored that so sweet and handsome a mancat would want me – a clip-eared feral girl descended from a long line of feral cats – far, far removed from our barn cat ancestors.
He is so white and shining; I am dark and more comfortable in the shadows. But when I’m with him, I feel like a better cat. Thank you, my Snow, for making me feel special.
