Arrival Story:
This was Willow she is no longer with us.Willow was a special stray I had taken care of last summer.I saw her by the creek and for some reason did a dog whistle and she come running all the way over to me crying a mile a minute. It was then I could see she was nursing. So we started feeding her alot ,took care of the tape worm we saw she had and she hung around like a dog.We were unsure at the time where her kittens were.So we kept feeding her figuring she would bring them around when ready. Willow acted like she knew us forever .Even when we would come home she would be sunbathing in our gazebo waiting to be fed and then go home to nurse.I instantly fell in love with her and would of took her in but at the time I still had my beloved Harley who was 20 years old and king of his castle. He and Willow went a couple rounds and it was clear he was saying no way.So my best was to wait for her to bring the kittens around and find them homes and then find her a home or try again with Harley. She was hanging around more and more so I was starting to wonder if something happened to her kittens. Then one night Willow didn;t show uo.I got a bad knot in my stomach .I knew something had happened.Willow was here everynight for the last 4 weeks. My hubby and I drove out of the park the next day only to see something up the way completely crushed in the road.We slowed down and I opened the door to realize the only thing recognizable was Willows beautiful paw. I was devasted that a beautiful cat probably only two years old died such a terriable way. I assumed after not finding the kittens after a week they were ptobably dead. Then one night I saw Elmer the tom go under my neibors trailor skirt. So we called the Humane society to see if they would come out and check but they refused because it was private property. My husband told me not to worry we would figure something out. The next morning while my neighbor was gone I awoke to some loud crying or meowing only to look out my window to five little kittens jumping around in the sun by my neighbors trailor.Willows kittens are alive I yelled to my husband as I ran out in my pajamas and got the fishing net. They were about 6 weeks old We caught three at first then shortly later caught the other two. We bathed them fed them and kept them in the sun porch in a dog cage. They were beautiful but my beloved Harley knew they were out there and was not happy. After a week or we took them to a shelter where they all got adopted out This was the least I could do for Willow. You see Willow came into my life right when both my parents had died from cancer a year apart. When I viewed the world as an ugly place she brought some beauty back to it.Sometimes she woould lay by the creek with me and listen to me cry and her paw would always reach out.Not sure what that was about. But the least I could do is add her to my Catser family because not only will she always be in my photos she will be in my heart .

My name is Willow.I was not sure why I came into my moms life.Something told me she needed me to.She was good to me .
Fed me as good as Harley and spent time with me by the creek petting me and talking to me.
I knew she would of took me in if it wasn't for the orange jerk having a hissy fit.
She always took pictures of me so she must of thought I was beautiful.I am grateful she rescued my kitties after I was killed. Now I am at rainbow bridge with Harley and belkieve it or not he,s more of a scaredy cat than he is a tough guy. Thanks mom for making my last couple months on earth good for me.
