Mommie Chris said everything is still up in the air.....name, home, everything. Mommie Chris is starting to get attached to me, but she says she needs another cat like a hole in the head. Now Grandma has already bailed. She kept me last night and I got along with Buddy alright but (we suspect Grandpa reminded Grandma of the cost of an additional animal in the house) so she said Chris why don't you keep her. Oh no! If I go to Baggies house (that's the nickname for the neighbor ladies kid sis) then I will be an outside kitty on a semi busy road. Mommie Chris is worried ill get hit by a car or worse picked up by one of the million hawks and owls in our area.
What to do what to do says Mommie Chris? Nothing really stopping her from keeping me except the extra expense. She has a hard to getting everybody to the vets already. ( Zach says that's because Mommie Chris is unorganized and can never Remember when it's time and sometimes money is tight to, especially during emergencies and teen cleaning times.....he says she does good if she makes her own appointments)
So about me...Mommie Chris says I'm very down to earth kind of kitty, no diva here. I just want to have fun and explore......Mommie says I'm a tomboy. So far my best friend is Zoe. She seems to like me.....and yes us girls will be out numbering the boys now. Mommie says she never would have guessed that would have happened. But I have to keep in mind that Mommie Chris hasn't made up her mind. To give me to Baggie or keep me for herself?
Today, is a big day. I get to hang beside the pool wi DI, Buddy, the possibly grandparents and Mommie Chris. Did I tell you a leash doesn't even phase me? Mommie Chris says we are lucky on that front. The question I have is what's a pool? And Diamond is really excited about the cookout ( Zach is pissed he's missing it) so what's a cookout? What's the big deal about that?
Look for new pics and yes Ellie said it was okay that I have her Catster page. She said just asked that I not erase her pics......I said okie dokie.
That's a tough one. We know about how hard all the vet bills can be. I'm ALWAYS needing meds and such, and we're all getting old at the same time... So that concern is valid, and mom has had to say before that WE have to be her priority because she already made the commitment to us. BUUUUTTTT, That being said: Outside? Busy road? Something tells me mommy Chris would be too upset if something bad happened... Please tell Zachy I'm sorry he has to miss the cookout. Bummer!
Calista, you seem so sweet. I know Zach would love to hear from you himself....I heard Mommie Chris say earlier that she would save him a tiny bite.
My day besid the pool was interesting. I can figure out why Diamond wants the frisbee so much and why Buddy keeps licking me. Then Mommie Chris got in an I just sat there an watched.
While you guys were gone, Calista, Mommie Chris rescued a starving Pittbull, it doesn't live with us , it has a forever home. Which reminds mom to stop in and check on him.
I can't stand the thought of her being an outside kitty and something happening. But that's my opinion. I'm not the one who has to take care of her. But it seems you're already attached to her and Zoe is too.
Oh just keep her and ask your vet for the "Group Discount" like we do, LOL! (not that we ever get one, but we ask!). But seriously, it is a bit more expensive, especially if you run into problems, but you cut some corners where you can and things just seem to have a way of working out. The busy road and hungry critters would make me a little nervous too.
Cookouts mean food. And food is good!!
Good luck to momma Chris on figuring it all out.
Good luck in your new home I know you got this girl. :) Moma never planed on this many cats either but it all works out good.
Hi Daisy! Welcome to Catster! Us girls need to stick together so this is how you get Mommie Chris to make your home a forever home: (1) be nice to all the animals that came before you; (2) purr in her ear loud and long; (3) gaze up at her with love and devotion (this is especially designed to melt her heart totally); (4) do your kittenhood best to be silly sometimes, the humans find that endearing; (5) remind her that you are young and healthy and it will be a long time before you need anything but routine care. Oh, and wave your beautiful long tail around - it is very impressive and shows you will grow up to be a real beauty (which you are anyway). Don't hesitate to ask for more tips shoud you need them!
Sending purrs as Momma Chris figures things out.
