Arrival Story: Mommy and daddy had lost their beloved Bigode (their angle kitten) one week before I was found with my brothers abandoned starving all by ourselves with no more than 15 days old. Mommy saw us and felt sorry about us and she rescued us. However, she was still deeply sad about Bigode and she had an emotional breaking down when she was going to the vet to help us. Our vet was very sweet and said to mommy to stay calm that she could take care of us until Saturday (the day our big brother Quindim had an appointment). Saturday mommy went to the vet’s office and the vet said that we needed special care because we needed to be nursed and we got ringworms. And she said that we were underweight and undernourished. Mommy decided to take care of us and look for a nice home for us when was time. She believed that it was too soon to get another kitten. Mommy and daddy started to take care of us. We had a special kittens’ formula at least 5 times a day and medicinal baths everyday to fix our ringworm problem. Each day, mommy and daddy was more in love about us! But the “meant to be” moment was when mommy was uploading our catster page for adoption and she had to do the math to put our birthdays. She realized that we were born in the same month and day that Bigode was born!!!!!! So, mommy realized that Bigode was all the time our Guardian Angel and that he used her to save our lifes! At this point, mommy and daddy figure out that at least one of us they had to adopt! They decided to adopt two of us! Mommy always wanted to adopt a black kitten, so I was adopted!!! Now I live in a beloved family and I play all the time with my brothers!
Yesterday, Ully, mommy and I went to a vet’s office (our regular vet is sick: http://www.catster.com/cats/1192322/diary/Bigodes_adventures _at_wonderland) to do some blood’s test. Ully loved him immediately. But, I heard the word “neuter” somewhere during mommy and vet’s conversation. So, I got a little bit shy.
Today, mommy and daddy are talking about how will be the day tomorrow and I realize that I will be NEUTRERD tomorrow! My brother Quindim (he is neutered) said to me that I don’t have anything to worry about. That is very simple and easy surgery. But, I’m not afraid about the surgery, I’m afraid about my nuts!!!
Mommy and daddy are super-kind and I love them and they love me too! Everybody says that it will be done for my own good, but… OMG!!!!!!!!!
I forgive mommy because she is a girl and girls don’t understand boys stuff, but daddy!!! Daddy, I’m pissed off with you!
I’m developing very fast! Now I’m weighting 2 lbs and I’m 45 days old!!! Can you believe? And I’m not fat I’m big! :)
My vet, the beloved Dra. Vanessa, said mommy that I probably will be a big cat, because I’m developing very fast and getting bigger and stronger everyday! I’m so proud of myself!!! :)
Mommy picked up my FIV/FELV test and, good news: Negative!!! Woooo Hoooo!!! My brothers and I are all negative for FIV/FELV!!! That is a relive for everybody!!! :)
But we had to take our shots! Yes, vaccination, baby!!! I didn’t like, but our vet is so cool that I didn’t felt anything during the vaccination. I passed all afternoon very sleepy because of it, but no problem! It was Saturday and mommy was home all the time and I was all afternoon with my brother and her! I was cool, actually!
Next appointment to the vet: 12/nov – Saturday! Vaccination again, cool! Another lazy Saturday with mommy! I can’t wait for it!!!
Zape is maybe a unusual name for a kitten, specially in English. That is why I chose to explain you guys why my name is Zape.
In Brazilian Truco (a card game such as Poker) the 4 of clubs (commonly known as Zape) is the luckiest card. It is the card that always win.
Truco is a very popular game. In contrast to Poker, where things are kept at a low level and quiet, the game of Truco is actually played by tricking your opponent by playing fast and distracting them through conversation. Truco is generally played with friends, and players are often loud, telling jokes, and talking amongst each other. When playing fast and laughing, it sometimes becomes hard to concentrate on the game, which is what many experienced players take advantage of.
Truco in Brazil is mostly associated to college culture and lifestyle. The custom of students sitting on a table to play the game while drinking alcoholic beverages has become a stereotype itself, in such a way that it has even been featured prominently in advertising campaigns and it has been included in the program of every University "Olympic" Games around the country.
Zape (4 of clubs) is black, it is lucky and it is FUN!!! It is just like me!!! It’s me!!! I’m Zape!!!!
