Arrival Story:
Veda and his brother Ndoki were advertised in the newspaper as "free to good home". My x-husband and I only wanted one cat, but the man who found these two said they have to go together...after he brought them to our apartment, opened the cage, and the two cats disappeared. After a week or so of hiding they bgan to make short appearances , enough for me to notice that they had been abused. Their ears and faces were cut and scabbed. I called the man who gave them to us and he explained that they were like that as a result of being thrown from a car alongside the Baltimore Beltway. His wife saw it happen and stopped to pick them up. After a lifetime of kind treatment they are still skittish and do not like anyone else but me. They merely tolerate my husband. Veda and his brother Noki are not partcularly cute or snuggly cats, but I still give them love regardless.
