Hello, Is my mic on?
So whats up?March 2nd 2013 5:10 pm[ View A Comments (21) ]
Not much going on around here. Mom's bad knee is swollen and popping every time she moves. She says it just needs rest, Ibuprofen and heat.
Gris, de one wed supposed to bees real nasty. Euro models saying 20-30 inches for us comparing it to the ash wednesday storm of 62, ans the superstorm blizzard of 93 be safe, stocks up on treats, catnip, and movies Blizz, we are a good 6 hours south of you as you know and Accuweather is still saying a possibility of snow for us. Mom is pretty sure we'll see something but how much is questionable. It was supposed to flurry this morning but no luck. We had snow all day yesterday and today, but the ground be just a little white. But those flakes be so bootiful falling in the sky. I'd like to go outside and play with them if I could. Daddy says no. We may get snow on Wednesday, too, but not much. I envy you Phoenix=Naomi. snow would be kinda cool if we could get some but no it is almost like springtime here in the afternoons but a little cooler in the night time and early morning. Dude we have not been around as much as we once were so we missed a lot.....so what happened to your mom's knee? It was da Maurice dude's birthday today and he actually behaved and didn't pounce on me none. He got some new toys and we all got kitty treats! Good for you Charlie!; happy birthday to the Maurice dude! So, Blizzie, we hadn't heard about this big storm and went to check the weather. Turns out it is going to miss us entirely this time - whew! Can't say that I'm sorry about that, though I am sorry you have to get it. Gris, I hope you get your wish and see some more snow - looks like you could get some of that system. Oh, and sorry about your Mom's bum knee. Our "weekend" (which is tomorrow) is not so good, since we three girls and the newbie Owl will be going to the vet for boosters and check-ups. The Socks gets a reprieve - he can go some other time since taking the four of us is going to be monsterively expensive as it is! Ugh. I volunteer not to go, Mama... Littleboy it's the knee mom has had two surgeries on. It's been giving her trouble since she was 24 so she's used to it. Someone this weekend asked her what the point was in having the two surgeries if it was still going to bother her . She replied the tendon and ligaments are mad from over use the last two weeks. Charlie, I love playing but being pounced on all the time would suck. Tell him happy birthday from all of us. At least you had a great weekend. So far we have watched like 6 movies. Zoe is watching "lucky one" right now with Mom. It looks like its going to be a sappy love story. Yuck. Sammie, sorry girlfriend. I need to go sometime soon myself but mom hadn't made the apt yet. Diamond has to go too. Mom is actually thinking of taking us together, wonder how that's going to work. Yikes, Gris and Blizz! I like the snow, but 20-30 inches would test even my furriness! Our forecast doesn't call for much snow, and Mom is hoping it's right. Won't be our last, though. She says we're still due the onion snow and the Easter snow. I get the second one; the first one has something to do with gardening. She sends her sympathies to your Mom on the bum knee. She has troublesome knees, too, especially in the winter time. No surgeries, just Arthur-itis. Bear, Mom says Thanks for the Sympathies. She's already decided she's going to wear her knee sleeve for a couple days just to give it some more support. Onion Snow huh? I have no idea what that is. Most be a northern thing. Mom is waiting for our nights to get in the mid- 50's......that's when we can put our tropicals outside. Mom says we have gotten snow as late as Easter but it's odd. onion snow? Big flakes, usually the last snow of the season. Onion snow...that's a new one on the Mama. But then she is a transplanted Texan, so she still doesn't know all there is to know about snow! Here's a joke for you, though: a skunk, a raccoon and a possum all walked into a bar...oh, wait - that wasn't a bar, that was our porch tonight - MOL!!! So, you wanna know what happened? Absolutely nothing. The skunk had dinner, the raccoon had dinner, the possum waited until the skunk left, then HE had dinner. And meanwhile, the ferals sat on the strawbales and watched the show! The Mama solemnly swears that tomorrow after the ferals have eaten, and before dark, she will pick up all the food trays. And if someone hasn't had theirs yet, they'll just have to try to make it to dinner earlier! Wow, then we musta had onion snow today! Woke up to these huge flakes like little pancakes falling from the sky. Snowed till lunchtime, but did not really stick except on the bushes. I think I'll call it pancake snow. Gris, I love your playlist! And we hope your mom's knee feels better soon. 20-30 inches of snow?!?! Momma says she is NOT SAD that she moved us down south. I miss watching it a little, and she never gets to stay home because of it anymore. She took dad up north to visit earlier this year, but of course, since she wanted him to experience a bunch of snow--there was none. She should send him up now huh? Stay warm and safe all you caties! The weather lady said that ee're running 7 degrees cooler than we usually do this time of the year. It was 27 when mom left for work this morning!!! I'm hoping that means the snow will stick and mom won't have to go to work wed. Calista, thanks for the compliment babe. I td mom "crave you" should be on Zachs page cause he gets the girls a sweating but mom reminded me that the girls find me cute too . That I'm just young still. Sorry your dad didn't see the snow....typical luck for most. Around here to see a good play snow you have to go to the ski resorts. Yep, Rusty. Big fat snow, the kind you get when it's warmer in the upper atmosphere and the snowflakes stick together on the way down. That's when it's time to plant the onions and peas and potatoes (even better if you planted the day before and the onion snow falls on the newly planted garden). Further north, they call it the sugar snow, 'cause that's when it's time to put in the maple taps. But Mom says it's not as reliable as it used to be. In the last few years, she's seen onion snows in March followed by dry, cold blizzard snow. Poor onions! We learn something new everyday. Thanks Torbjorn. well, wees just got puts under da winter storm warning 10-15 in snow ugh accuweather named cities in da heavy zone, 2 in maryland Hagerstown and Frederick Hagerstown is 25 mi west as da crow fly. Frederick 20 mi south i's repeats ugh!! Gris, listen to your momma, she is right - you are a very handsome young man-cat. I say this honestly and factually. (I'm a Calico, not a cougar-MOL) You are going to have enough girlies "Craving" you soon enough. Enjoy being young and not worrying about it! Blizz, buddy - Don't forget candles or a kerosene lantern or simply flashlights with backup batteries. We were just out of power a few days ago, and it lasted until 10 PM. Kinda eerie to be walking around a house with no power. Fortunately, we heat with wood so that part wasn't a problem; but our well is electric, so the water didn't work. :( What Calista said, Gris!! |
