Adapting Purrry Well!

I have been adapting purrry well in my new home. of course, Jaspurr, Monte & Biscotti have some cattitudes going on but I just ignore it. Plus, I have my two besties, Snowmitts & Cannoli watching over me and they're the largest kitties in here. This morning, Frosty met me at the bottom of the stairs and gave me several nose kisses. He's been extra attentive towards my pawrents so I think he just wants to be reassured that he's still loved and of course he is. There's no kitty in this household who gets more attention than the other because they're all equally loved. With time, the ones who are a little upset will come around and everything will be back to normal. Jaspurr never took well to newcomers anyway so that was expected. Just part of the introduction...

Last night I spent me sleeping hours napping between meowmy and daddy. The storms made me scared so I snuggled under the covers and was fine with a sense of security. I've been going upstairs every night when my pawrents are getting ready fur night night. Monte was at the foot of the bed, laying on mom's feet while I was close to her pillow. I've been eating like a horse and running around like a happy and healthy little kitty. I also spend a good portion of the day taking kitten naps on the sofa. I really couldn't have meow'd fur a more loving home than the one I have now. Thanks angel Cocoa fur sending me to this wonderful life filled with love & happiness. Mom was crying earlier when she was dusting the Chest of Drawers where she has the kitty Urns & paw prints. I really don't understand what the Bridge is since I'm still little but I do know that wherever that is, Picasso, Kashmere and Cocoa are having a fun time playing and meeting new and beautiful furiends.

I would like to meow thanks to the following kitties fur their lovely gifties/rosettes: My Family (crown), Catster (blue star), Karisma & Fam (diamond), PorkChop & Fam (crown), Ashley delicious & Fam (crown), Bubby & Fam (star), Murphy & Fam (crown), Karma & Fam (emerald), Bellz & Fam (crown), Mussey & Fam (pirate cat), Gypsy & Fam (ice cream), Zack & Fam (pirate flag), Samoa & Fam (lemonade), Pixie & Fam (watermelon), KiKi & Fam (lips), Munky & Fam (ice cream), Sampson & Fam (ice cream).

Also, thanks to those who sent me cute messages, comments, friend requests and fur accepting my request. I'm so luck to have pawsome furiends like you *blows kisses~

Kitten Purrrrs!

I'm Now In My Furever Home!

Hello!
My name is Mocha and I'm a 3 month old brown Tabby. Meowmy wanted to adopted a kitty In Loving Memory of her beloved angel Cocoa so she decided to stop by the same shelter where she adopted Kashmere & Truffles. It's a clean and well kept facility and that's where she feels most comfortable. Cocoa was adopted 16-1/2 years ago in front of her place of work where they had a mobile adoption van. As soon as mom walked into the shelter on 8/30/11, she signed the "viewing pet" sheet and was taken in the back to meet all of the kitties. Her dear furiend, Dennis went with her since my daddy was in Texas on business and would be returning the following Monday which was Labor Day. As soon as she saw me, she walked up to my cage and asked if I was still available. The nice lady said yes and that I my shelter name was "Harley." As mom got closer to my cage, I reached out with my little paw and touched her gently on her cheek and nose. She knew right there and then that I was the one. Mom wasn't allowed to handle me until her application was approved which takes about 3 days (calling the vet/references). Plus, they have other applications which need reviewing. She told the girl who was ahead of adoptions (Judy) to please put my name on the application. That Thursday 9/1/11, meowmy went out to breakfast and decided to stop by the Shelter to visit me. Well, I was gone and my cage was empty. Mom panicked and asked "where's Harley? Oh noooo, he wasn't adopted was he?" The lady explained that I was at the Veterinary Hospital getting neutered and that I'd be back later in the evening. She also said "we saw your interest in Harley so we had him neutered for you." Mom was relieved and so excited. The following morning (Friday) 9/2/11, mom had an important doctors appointment so afterwards, she called the shelter to inquirer about me. They were a little behind on applications but went ahead and took care of mine right away. About 20 minutes later, Judy called mom and told her that the application was approved and Harley was hers. She wanted to surprise daddy but the applications requires both pawrents to sign the adoption form, therefore, she couldn't surprise daddy. She called him on the phone and told him that she was adopting a little baby and I needed his signature as well... He told her that we would pick up the baby on Tuesday since dad would be coming home on Labor Day and the shelter was closed. She knew that he would not have a problem with that as he never did *giggles* Mom's friend, Dennis went back to the shelter with her and she was then able to interact with me since the application was approved. They brought me into the "Socializing" room and I was so cute and purrry playful and mom was thrilled, not to mention enjoying my loud purrrrs. She noticed that I had stitches in my belly and asked about it which they explained I had Umbilical Hernia repair surgery but I was fine and that the stitches would be removed in about 10 day... Mom will have Dr Wray do that when I see him fur the first time on September 12th.

Well, yesterday, September 6th, 2011 was the big day when I would be going to my furever home. Dad was running a little late with picking up mom because he had to have new brakes and tires put on his SUV. They arrived at the Shelter with the Sherpa carrier at approximately 1:45. One of the girls brought me into the Socializing room where daddy got to meet me fur the first time. He smiled and began calling me "Junior!" Both meowmy and daddy were playing with me until the paper work was signed and completed. I was then placed in the carrier and on my way home to my new and wonderful family. I was such a little angel during my trip home and didn't make a sound but I did look around with a curious look. As soon as they brought me home, daddy opened the carrier and Snowmitts was the first to greet me. My pawrents didn't want to separate me because I would have to meet my new siblings sooner or later. Mom has never really had an issue with immediate introduction anyway. I have both of my Felovax IV w/calici (8-12 week)/Rabies shots, Feline Bordatella. Feline Combo test "NEG" and Nemex wormer so I was good to go with all of my testing.

My new siblings are really cool and purry docile but I will admit that Jaspurr, Monte & Biscotti had cattitudes and will fur several days but nothing to be worry about. Hissing and growling is a normal behavior but don't you worry because I made the same sounds "giggles" Meowmy and daddy bought me lots of cases of kitten food, large bag of dry, small bag of Royal Canin, Halloween Catnip toys and a cute wand toy and a boogie mat. My auntie Lill & Family gave me a cute card, 2 cans of Royal Canin kitten, small bag of Royal Canin dry, cute lady buggie crinkle toy and pawkage of yummmy treats all in a cute baby giftie bag.

By the way, meowmy spent about a 1/2 hour teaching me how to use the clawing post and guess what... I'm doing great and have been using it ever since. Never once did I even think about using the regular furniture since I got home. Meowmy & daddy are purrry proud of me and so am I!

Thanks fur reading my first diary and fur welcoming me to Catsterland. I'm a purrry lucky and blessed kitty to have such a beautiful family and pawsome furiends who love me so much *blows kitten kisses*

PS... I will update my lovely gifties & rosettes tomorrow and thanks again fur your thoughtfulness and furiendship!
