she loves maxwell, and she loves watching birds. she has recently taken to watching the bird shadows on the wall across from the windows in which the bird feeders are hanging.

strangers in her house. she hides from most everyone except me.

Favorite Toy:
she likes to chase anything on a string, and she likes to play in and under throw rugs in the house.

Favorite Nap Spot:
her chair beside the window near the bird feeders.

Favorite Food:
indoor formula kitty food, but i've discovered that she likes saltines, chick peas, and the leftover milk in my cereal bowl.

she's good at jumping up to high places, and she cleans Maxwell's ears.

Arrival Story:
My other cat, Maxwell, was becoming aggressive toward me, and I thought about getting him a playmate. I called my vet to ask for advice, and was told that getting another cat would likely solve the problem. They also happened to know of some 6 month old kittens who had all of their shots, as well as been spayed and neutered, and were in need of homes. I went over in a rainstorm to the foster home where Chloe was living with her mother, a beautiful white kitty named Anastasia, and her brother and sister - also solid white. When I pulled into the driveway of the house, all four cats were curled up together in the shelter of the front porch, and as I approached them, they silently scattered... like little ghosts. It took a little while to coax her out from under some furniture (once she went back into the house), but I was finally able to put her in her little carrier and take her home to meet Maxwell. Until I named her, she was known at the vet's office staff as "Smudge" because of the small black spot on her head that has since disappeared.

She's always been a little strange, but also very sweet and loving. She isn't a "pick-me-up-and-hold-me" kitty, but she will gladly curl up on me when she decides she wants attention. She can be very dainty and delicate, and then turn around and act like a complete goofball. She likes to lie on her back with her feet in the air, and she often shreds paper. Her attempts to wake me up in the morning (the earlier I get up, the earlier she gets to eat) have taught me to hide my jewelry and put away important papers. She opens the drawers of my jewelry box, picks up jewelry in her mouth, and drops things (one by one) onto the floor. She will rip apart a cardboard box like she is taking out all of her frustrations. It's both disturbing and hilarious at the same time.
