Coloration:
Black and White

Likes:
Whatever YOU'RE doing! He enjoys licking people's heads, insisting upon attention from guests, guarding his window birdfeeder, chewing everything, chasing/eating flying insects, tearing up the house but looking innocent (see photographic evidence below)

Pet-Peeves:
The Vacuum Cleaner God (dun dun dun!), and insects who won't come down from the ceiling no matter how much he verbally threatens them

Favorite Toy:
Doggie chew toy, catnip bubbles, feather-on-a-pole, the news ticker on TV, the flushable "swimming pool" in the bathroom

Favorite Nap Spot:
In his bed, on top of his mom's bookshelf.

Favorite Food:
He LOVES bananas! He even loves the smell of artificially scented banana, like banana bubble bath. He also enjoys broccoli, collard greens, raisins, pears, tomato paste, and coffee, but coffee is not for kitties!

Skills:
He fetches; he can "sit," "speak," "stand," and "shake;" he rides in the car willingly; he rings a bell when he wants us to open the door; he can tell when we are asking him a question and responds accordingly.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
PetSmart has local humane societies bring their cats on Saturdays. Hanover Humane Society had a very sociable 7-month-old kitten who kept licking people. When they found him, he was a teeny tiny kitten living in a drain pipe outside. He and his littermates had been abandoned by their mother, and they had ringworm so bad that they had lost their fur. They then ended up in the "foster system," and he was separated from his brothers and sisters and ended up with another litter about the same age. He was being safehoused in a barn by a nice lady; she had him for most of his life and had bottle-fed him. He was so small that his foster mother kept almost stepping on him, so she named him Spot to remind herself not to step on "that spot on the floor," which was him. We adopted him, kept his name, and the rest is history!

Bio:
Spot has vitiligo, which is a disorder that causes a loss of pigmentation of the skin and hair. It doesn't seem to bother him, and it doesn't bother us, either... we think it's neat! When we first got him, he had two spots, the one on his neck and the one on his tummy. Every winter he gets new white spots, and now he has 6. Right now he is working on a new spot for his right shoulder. Spot's living up to his name! Spot insists upon always being at the center of attention. He loves people, even strangers. If you hold him on his back like a baby and rock him, he will relax and get all floppy.

I have been chosen as the Catster Cat of the Day! I am so happy, I could lick everyone! Well, I usually do that anyway.
