Ever since my angel Vern went to the Rainbow Bridge, I had been longing for an affectionate cat that would stay on the bed with me and cuddle for hours. I wanted another orangie, but my husband insisted that if we got another cat, it would have to be a Siamese, as he has fond memories of the Siamese cat he had when he was younger. On a whim, I went to the Valley Animal Center in Fresno while they were having a summer special; all cats over 6 months of age were only $10 through the summer months, and that low price included neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping (and a bag of Science Diet cat food)! Such a deal! I had no expectations that I would actually find a Siamese cat with the purrsonality I was looking for. There were five or six meezers in the shelter, but only one of them came up to me purring, giving me headbonks, and trying to climb onto my shoulder! I took a photo of Cesar with my cellphone and sent it to my husband. To my surprise, he said I could go ahead and bring him home. Cesar is a wonderful cat who made himself at home right away!
