Sundance (shelter name: Tiger) was found in a parking lot by a kind lady who brought him to the Benld Adopt-A-Pet animal shelter. I was at the shelter, adopting Shade when Sundance was brought in. I saw his coloring and said I have to have him, too!
Bio:
I am training Sundance to be a therapy cat visiting residents at our local nursing home. He rotates with my other kittens, going once a week, along with my Collie, Amber. Amber and I have been doing this for over a year, so I want to expose Sundance to this while he is a kitten. He does well, sitting on the resident's lap or on their bed. He will sit on the window sill, watching the birds at the feeders while the residents like to watch him. Amber's presence also helps, giving Sundance a familiar face and calming affect. He has his little harness and leash on and is in his carrier, sticking his head out while we walk down the halls. Most of the residents like cats as much as dogs, so we all are a welcoming presence at the nursing home.
