Arrival Story: A co-worker and I rescued Sadie as a pregnant stray. She was first taken to the local SPCA, however they were over crowded and told us that they may have to put her and/or her litter to sleep. So we contacted the no-kill rescue shelter that I had done volunteer work for to see if they would take her. They said yes, however, I decided to foster her, even though I had never fosted before. Sadie and I bonded right away and with in nine days, Sadie delivered 6 kittens while I was at work. She was the best mommy. Sadly one of the kittens did not survive, but the ramaining 5 were all healthy and were later adopted into very loving homes. Sadie stayed to become a part of my then family of 4 cats. To this day she is as sweet as the day I first rescued her.
