my annoying human siblings under age 10, the older sibs are great

Favorite Nap Spot:
Sprawled out on her back on the kitchen floor

Favorite Food:
anything out of a can

She seems more dog-like than cat-like

Arrival Story:
Em has had a fuzzy history, as far as I can tell I'm her fourth, possibly fifth home. She was heading back to the pound when I stepped in and took her. So now we have a cat. And we love her dearly. But we are just a normal family with kids and all the business that comes with raising a human family. Ember is our pet and other cats are either feral or other people's pets and we really don't give them any thought. We aren't cat-obsessed. I don't want them in little bow ties or in a basket or on a rainbow. I'm just here for information, really. I'll take what we can use and disregard the rest. It's hard to find a middle ground/happy place for people who love and want to take proper care of their cat but yet don't fit in with the overzealous 'mortgage-my-house-for-my-cat's-ne urologist-and-chemo' crowd. Ø_Ø Kind of annoying.

"Terms used to describe this breed (Type 2.) include: friendly, patient, calm, watchful, intelligent, mischievous and good-natured. Inevitably, because of their lack of a balancing tail, they are not particularly fond of climbing. Vocally, they are described as having 'a scratchy little rambling voice which makes some people ask "When will they learn how to meow?"'. They are said to be more doglike than other cat breeds." -- from http://petside.co.uk/breeds/american-bobtail.php
