I had been looking to adopt an adult cat from the local animal shelter, and had found a couple that I really liked. I knew I would have to save up for a couple of months to get one, and I was prepared to do that. Unfortunately my boyfriend told me that he was allergic, so all of my dreams went crashing down the drain. I got to talking with him more and discovered that his allergies weren't all that bad, and that my best friend's allergies were worse, and she is around cats all the time. So I started looking again. Then my mom told me about one of her co-workers' cat's had just had babies, and she was selling them for $20 when they were 8 weeks old. As soon as she sent me a picture I knew I wanted the only little girl, and also the only calico. We we to see her a couple of days later, and I was absolutely hooked!

She is just a little bundle of energy, and I am so happy to have her home, she has definitely "claimed" me, as all cats do!

I got to go pick her up early! I went at about 10pm, when I was done work. She cried the whole car ride home, and it just broke my heart. Then when I got her home, she was very curious, and I think a little overwhelmed, so she was hiding a little bit. But once my mom went to bed, and took her little dog with her, she calmed down a lot, and just followed me everywhere :D Right now I'm lying in bed with my laptop, and she is sleeping on my shoulder

Less than a day to go!!! I'm so very excited, I picked up the rest of the stuff I needed, lke food and treats, and some kitty nip ;) I really hope she loves it here! Extremely happy to be bringing her home, I hope to have a diary entry up all about our first day together as soon as possible :) Wish me luck!!

Only about 5 days left!! I'm so excited to bring her home! I'm al kitty-proofed up, and have toys and her litter box and such, the only things I don't have are food and treats and such, but that's because I don't know what they've been feeding her yet, so I can go buy the same food. I can't wait!!
