Nicknames: Baby Doll, Little Girl, Squirmy, Li'l Monkey, Iris No!
Gotcha Date: June 25th 2011
Birthday: October 25th 2010
Likes: Sitting in the window watching the birds, hunting bugs on the window screen, watching printers printing, playing with Dusty, rearranging all the little widgets in Dad's shop.
Pet-Peeves: She doesn't like to be picked up when she is busy playing.
Favorite Toy: A laser-light in the morning, and a little hedgehog that she likes to carry around and sing to.
Favorite Nap Spot: In the window or in her "coffin" (a long box that she has claimed).
Favorite Food: Blue Buffalo chicken & brown rice, and Tuna!. Gooberlicious puppy treats! Greenies!
Skills: She always sings when she has a toy in her mouth! She comes running when called - at least at treat time, MOL! - and she knows how to sit, shake hands (with the right paw), "sit up" (prairie-dog style) and lie down.
Arrival Story: We were at the vet with Dusty and saw a flier that they were looking for a home for her. She was brought in by animal control to be euthanized. Our vet said he he would take her and find her a good home. She had an injured eye that they had to remove but otherwise they said she is very healthy. Iris and the dogs got along right from the start, but it took her a couple of days to accept Dusty's attention.
Bio: We will always be grateful to our vets and staff, who not only saved her life but also volunteered their time and services to patch her up and give her a new start in life, which turned out to be with us.
