Life as a foster kitten!

Message from new owner!

Okay, so no news yet as to whether they'd like to take over my catster page. I have a feeling that they would rather not.

But we've just gotten an update.

First of all his new name is Merlin! So for now I will keep foster kitty in his name just so that you all can get used to the transition.

The new owner's brother brought their cat to live with them, his name is Eddie. They are best friends now! We just posted a picture that they sent us.

Merlin is being clicker trained!!! That seems like such a fun thing to do! He can go to touch his new Mom's hand with nose or paw on command! And is learning to sit on command too!

He rarely bites any more, probably because he is getting so much attention. (that is sort of what I suspected). Plus the clicker training is probably a good way of focusing his energy as well.

That's all the news for now. I hope we get more updates but I don't want to have high hopes for that since not all people like keeping in contact with the old owners. Which is understandable...

Adopted!!

That went so fury Quick!! Mom told me we'd meet them and they'd decide if they want to take him home or not. But it seems like they made the decision already, MOL.

The caregiver/Mom/previous Mom took me out to meet them and they looked at me and said he was smaller then they thought, but they whisked me away and ran with me, telling me that I'd have tons of fun with their kitty at home.

I miss Mom but am looking forward to having my new Mom. They have agreed that if it doesn't work out that I can go back but I sure hope that it works out. Does this mean I should stop biting? MOL. Maybe their kitty will teach me a lesson. Wish me tons of luck.

I am on my way with this strange new Mommy to my new home. I am fury excited but nervous at the same time.

Note from Mom: This is very bitter sweet, I miss him a lot. I never realized how hard it was to let a kitty go to someone else. Well actually this is the first time I have ever had cats in general and have never had to give any animals away before. The adoption went very quick, a bit quicker then I was ready for... Now it feels so empty here, even with Blade, Moppie, and Stewie (the dog). I really hope I hear updates and that he has a good life with the new owners.

I have emailed them (I didn't have a chance to tell them) about the catster account. I have not heard a response. I hope that I can transfer it to them and they will continue updating his page

Neuter today!!

I gots neutered today!! Mom works an overnight tonight so she took me along to work thinking she may get me neutered because someone is interested in adopting me!! Mom wants to make sure I am neutered and tatooed before I leave her so that she knows if I ever get out I will be returned.

The surgery went well. Mom says it went very quick!! Except for the tatoo part, the tatoo gun wasn't working normal today...

I am now out of surgery, fully awake and Mom is letting me roam around the clinic like Simon and Tony!! This is fun! Simon is sleeping on a chair in the back here with us and Tony is up front sleeping somewhere.

There are no stitches so I don't have to wear a cone or nuthin. I don't need to worry about any stitches coming out. Or Mom doesn't need to worry about it, MOL. My tatoo hurts a little, since the gun wasn't working properly it didn't go as smoothly as the staff would have liked it.

There is a dog here. He is a BIG dog!! I don't know if I should go near him or not. He looks scary!! I walked sideways away from him cause I'm not sure if I trust him... Maybe I'll have enough courage to go meet him later!

Anyways, Mom has a lady who is really interested in meeting me! She seems really nice. She does have another kitten which is good to keep me company, but Mom is a little worried about my biting. She hopes we will get along and that the other kitten will not freak out or anything... Mom wants me to stop this biting soon!

What age did you guys get neutered? Mom says the recommended age is 5-6 months. I am 4 months, but not sure so maybe almost 5 months?! Mom knows the SPCA does neutering at 8 weeks so she doesn't think it will be a big deal that I am done a tad early.

Update 4am

Mom's showing me around her clinic!! She is teaching me to be a Vet Assistant!! I's following her from room to room! I's gots more freedom than any cats in the world!!

I wants to meet Simon face to face!! But he's too lazy to get off the chair! What will happen if I jump up to see him? I may find out soon, MOL.
