First off I want to thank all of our Catster friends for sending me and my family all the wonderful prezzies. We love them all! Thank you!
Well last week I had my check-up with the cardiologist. It did not go very well. She said that the Atenolol did not do the job she had hoped it would. While we got my heart murmur a little better, it did not eliminate its obstruction. I can't have a larger dose of it because it has slowed my heart rate down a lot. She does not want it any slower. I also lost 1/2 pound in only 2 weeks. So the weight loss continues. I know my mom is sad because she was hoping the meds would help me more. I guess they don't always do their job well.I still have weak femoral pulses too. The doctor said to come back in 4-6 months. That scares Mom as she was told that for both Louis & Ethan and neither one made it back. It seems if the docs there think they are doing some good they have you back more often. But once they have done all they can- you get the long wait. She said she still does have hope though. Meanwhile she is gonna keep spoiling me & giving me all the love I can take. Uh Oh mushy stuff.
Love and purrs,
Still purring for you, Tristan!
Best of luck and stay healthy Tristan!

Hi little buddy! You know, Xena has a good point about getting a second opinion... We are purring for you!
Sending you purrs!
Thanks everycat! I will put those purrs & prayers to good use. Xena, we already have 3 opinions on my diagnosis. Two cardiologists and my regular vet. Thank you for thinking of that though. i am going to do my best to get the med working. Not sure how but I will do it. I still like to play & have fun. I love you all!!!!
Tristan, I'm sprinkling rainbow healing dust on you and I will make sure all the Bridge fur angels do the same.
I totally agree that a second opinion is needed ... humans always get a second opinion when their doctors give them bad news and the same should be done with kitties and doggies.
You keep enjoying life and remember - every day is a gift!
Definatelpy get a second opinion. Mommy will feel better talking to another vet. Still purring for you!
Hello Tristan and his mom. Are you anywhere near a school of veterinary medicine? They are often making new advances on conditions/diseases and may even have some experimental treatments that you could try if your other doctors don't have any other ideas. We are purring really hard for you & our mom is praying for you & your mom. We are hoping so hard that you get better and live a long & happy life. Love, Harley, Cody & Raj
