Helping mum work

Yesterday my mum had not long finished my diary and was looking at the Lolcats which is her next favourite website after Catster when her phone rang.

"Yes," she said. "I can do that. Sounds good."

Her boss was asking her if she could work from home rather than drive on the ice. Yey! She was home to play all day. But she said she had to work. She got out her books and paper and her laptop and we settled down to help.

"What are you working on anyway?" I asked.

"At the moment Communication Skills training."

"At last - something useful. Tell them to pay particular attention to the tail. Us cats communicate a lot with our tails."

But apparently I was on the wrong track. Whilst cats communicate with ecah other perfectly well without any special courses turns out that people sometimes need help talking to other people.

So Josie and I both settled down on the table to keep mum company. Weirdly it seemed that every book and every piece of paper wasn't for sleeping on but mum needed it. She put cushions on the table for us saying encouragingly that they would be much more comfy but we treated that with the comtempt it deserved. Soft they may be but they wouldn't come with the fun of mum trying to slide them out underneath us.

So we had a happy day with mum and she reckons she got quite a bit of work done. There was no more snow. This morning the road outside is so icy the cars sound scrunchy when they drive past.

My mom wishes she could work from home. Even if she had to work, she still could be with us. :) Tell your momma to keep careful driving in that ice and snow.

I hope your mum's work pay her for the extra services you provided when you assisted her? I totally agree that sleeping on things that my humans need is far better than any pillow. Your mums boss was wise to let stay home with you. Better to be safe than sorry.

Books that aren't for sleeping on? I don't believe it!

Hooray! Finally your mom´s boss is starting to see reason and understands that kitties are needed to inspire their mom at work!
You are doing great and I guess if people need instruction in talking your mom´s skills come in: she has quite a way with words!
Carry on!

My mum's boss has a cat to advise her so mum thinks she is pretty good. It's all her cat's doing of course but I never hear mum acknowledge that! Tobes

Humans can't really communicate good. Their ears don't move and they're covered by long fur (Mom's anyway). You can't communicate without giving signals with your ears. Humans communicate with sounds, but they don't do it very well. I asked Mom what's new with her friend Karen and she said: Nothing much really. I asked how that could be since she just talked to her for half an hour on the telephone. Humans just go: bla bla bla bla. That's why I never listen to them.
