Mum did come home early on Friday and we all snuggled on the sofa and watched people dancing while the snow kept falling outside. (Mum said not people, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, but not one single animal so to us - just people dancing.)
On Saturday morning it was cold and mum was sitting up in bed reading. Josie was nestled on her legs looking all warmedly. I don't normally favour sitting on mum but she looked so warm and soft.
Hm. How to remove Josie without getting in trouble? Got it!
I let myself out in the garden for a moment or two, then padded frantically at the door to be let back in. I knew mum wouldn't leave me outside, especially in the cold, and I was right. She came, Josie being dislodged in the process.
Back to bed, legs stretched out and book in hand. I moved fast and settled myself where Josie had been. It was deliciously comfy and in reaching distance for an ear rub so I can see why Josie likes it so much.
Josie came to reclaim her spot but I was there. Ha Ha!
A moment's thought on the part of that cat and she tried to settle herself on mum's chest instead. Gravity was against her but mum took pity on her so mum wriggled herself down to lie flat so Josie could also curl up and sleep on the warm mattress of mum's body.
All three of us fell asleep like that. I love cosy days.
On Saturday the snow was quite slushy but lots more came on Sunday so mostly Josie and I have played indoors. My best bit was when a lamp tried to join in and threw itself off the mantlepiece. Mum heard the bang and went to the front door. She thought someone was knocking. When she saw the lamp all was revealed. She asked us to play more carefully but really she should be putting her stuff out more carefully.

Days were I can snuggle in bed with mum are the best. Loved the execution of your plan to dislodge Josie a strike of genius. Can you please say G'day to Josie and your mum for me.
Cozy days napping are da best!
Very smart plan to oust Josie. MOL Spending the afternoon napping with Mom is the best!
